Anyone can make a mistake. But this one risked too much and the timing was ridiculous in terms of what it overshadowed in big positive news events that never caught air as a consequence.
The TrumpRx roll out was already preempted on all channels - shortly after the news conference started - by the second Guthrie video (dropped at the 5pm Friday deadline for action). The big positive Trump admin development didn't need the evening news about the TrumpRx rollout to also be preempted by the "racist" "breaking news."
