The monetary incentive to "create" content and stay "relevant". sensationalism, half-truths, unfounded speculations, petty division creation causes people to become cynical and callous to even the real truth. This has created apathetic population in the higher IQ's and greater division between the rest, as these buy into the psyops and become streetfighters "for the cause" fighting against their algorithm-potentiated enemies.
Nothing really being done about the high-level political criminals or rampant fraud/ election issues etc.
People are taught they cannot do anything about it anyway; so "quit whining".
