Rep. Anna Paulina Luna

Could it be that the same senators who oppose the SAVE America Act also benefit from it not passing?

Learned Helplessness

Learned helplessness is a psychological phenomenon where individuals come to believe they have no control over their circumstances after repeated exposure to uncontrollable or adverse events, leading to passivity, reduced motivation, and difficulty in taking action even when opportunities arise. The concept originated from experiments in the 1960s by psychologists Martin Seligman and Steven Maier, who observed that animals subjected to inescapable stressors eventually stopped trying to escape, even when escape became possible. In humans, it manifests as a conditioned response to prolonged failure, trauma, or systemic barriers, often linked to conditions like depression, anxiety, and chronic stress.
