A former Army Colonel from Florida was sentenced to two years in prison Tuesday for trying to woo a woman he met online by sending her secret classified battle plans.

Retired combat vet Kevin Charles Luke, 62, was working as a high-level civilian contractor with “top secret” clearance at US military headquarters in Tampa in October 2024, when he texted a photo of plans for a Middle East attack to his new fling, according to court documents.

“Sent to my boss earlier,” he wrote in the text, which included a photo of an email on his work computer at Central Command at MacDill Air Force Base. “Gives you a peek at what I do for a living.”

The image showed a classified email message with details about the date of the operation, the number of targets and battle plans.

One dead and 32 injured as college baseball team bus crashes during trip to Arkansas for opening season games

A tragic bus crash in Iowa has left one person dead and 32 others injured after a college baseball team's vehicle careened off the road on Wednesday morning.

The Iowa State Patrol confirmed the single-vehicle horror unfolded on Highway 4 near Twin Lakes just after 11:00 a.m. involving an Iowa Lakes Community College bus.

The bus was reportedly carrying the school's baseball team who were traveling to face North Arkansas College in games scheduled for Thursday and Friday this week.

Emergency services scrambled to the scene where they found the vehicle had crashed while transporting the student-athletes and staff south for the tournament.

The impact was so severe that multiple medical helicopters were called in to airlift the most critically injured victims to regional trauma centers for surgery.

Responders from the Calhoun County Sheriff's Office and Rockwell City Police worked to pull the injured from the wreckage and transport them to various hospitals.
