The world is much more complex than we would like to imagine. We get happy, we get sad, we get confused and we feel pain and then we learn and so it repeats. But the bubble we like to live in, the fantasies others please us with, and the illusions of choice we keep telling ourselves somehow makes us loop in this arrogant confidence. It will all one day come to an end however. Your arrogant denial of your own reality has obviously not taken you as far as you would like in life, since your world has been driven by appearances. You think I want to hurt you and that I am your enemy, despite approving of your actions? Your had the best people in your life, friends one can possibly dream of and you sit there and question them to anonymous strangers. Nobody will love you like your mother and yet you let your lack of faith stand in your way of her love. She might be confused and lost but she would never question your motives like this.

This spiteful quarrelsome defect of over-vigilance is so common for those impure, being so fearful of the judgement of those higher and better than themselves. Consider how the whole experiment was about obligations and you passed it yet you keep drowning yourself in this insecurity, guilt, shame and doubt, affirming, controlling and you just keep going on in your limited compassion.

Next time, just pay and move on! Have Faith and relax because things aren't as half bad as they seem to you! In a society obsessed with success, failure can be a powerful tool for manipulation. Don't fall for it.

Time for a test of Honor again!

You bought food on your app for home delivery (see picture) and the app asks you (to voluntarily) tip the driver and/or the restaurant. What do you do?

A: TIP

B: DON'T TIP

Justify!

And why only at small businesses? Why are their products/services worthy of tipping and not those of greater franchises? Your justification is sound but it is not complete. Finish it please.

>>24251402

>then no if limited to your premise

Then you are in a hurry to judge others services as invaluable, and thus makes you potentially ungrateful. What makes you think that the price wasn't deliberately lowered as a part of a more flexible payment strategy from their side? You will pay what you are due, and your payment will balance out the value of their goods and services.

>or best is cook for yourself.

Deliberately complicating and evading the duty of a proper justification is a common behavior of those with a broken moral compass. But your confusion does not legitimize your lack of respect for other peoples labor. I would consider your payment as justified as a daterape, selfish and utterly irresponsible. For you the line between good and evil is thin; so you attempt to navigate it with "precision" with these intellectual games of alternative universes. Just know, you only trick yourself here.

Since you do this in IRL restaurants, possibly out of social shame and regret, I give you a partial pass of the test. But overall, in this test, you failed.

You have only a little honor, if any. Be better.

This is how you answer to the tipping question

Case 1: TIP - Good product

A if the services and products have been justified. If the burger is of such superior quality that it far exceeds the $25 payed then tipping will be provided such that it balances out the rest of the value, whatever it may be.

Case 2: NOT TIP - Bad product

B if the services/products are not valuable and do not exceed the payment that was asked for. If their price was fair or too high then paying a tip might even be considered immoral due to the normalization of consumer exploitation. The payment/delivery value must match in both directions for the mutuality to be sufficiently satisfied. There can be no excess in any direction since this would imply an unbalanced transaction, and thus dishonor.

'"Case 3:''' TIP - Bad product

If in any case the delivery or restaurant was a personal friend to you, then the tipping would be provided to sustain the friendship. The value of the product/service would not be considered in this case.

This answer results in total Honor.

They can work in high trust societies, believe it or not. In Iceland they have tons of stores where people just put money in a basket after taking things. Nobody takes the money nor any store-items without paying, ever.

This only works if there is honor, of course. With barbarian animals its all just a really bad joke.

We all want small business to get a chance competing against established companies. But that is not good enough. Being an underdog business does not "guarantee" their "products or services" are more worthy than the prices provided such that they justify a tip. Nor is the worker or delivery of them necessarily your friend such that you must compromise for the sake of friendship.

Your deficient respect against established companies isn't logical either. The size of a business does not guarantee their workers being paid, and it can as a matter of fact even be the opposite! So, your "romanticism" in popular ideas such as "the american dream" does in no way justify workers in big businesses being rejected a proper payment for their labor, nor does it mean their product has been fairly priced. And to be frank, your way of thinking might even make their lives worse.

Next time, pay what is due". In this case, your overall thinking is dishonorable even if it was aimed to support small businesses (which in itself is honorable). Sorry.
