Olympics scandal erupts as judge is accused of 'rigging' event to deny Team USA and give her team the gold instead

After all the leaps and pirouettes comes another twist in figure skating at the Winter Olympics, where a French judge has been accused of 'rigging' the competition to secure gold for her compatriots and condemn Team USA to heartbreak.

On Wednesday in Milan, America's Madison Chock and Evan Bates were dramatically denied victory by a French pair shrouded in controversy - despite believing they delivered a 'flawless, gold-medal performance.'

Laurence Fournier Beaudry and Guillaume Cizeron - whose personal lives have both been engulfed in scandal - won gold with a total score of 225.82, just 1.43 points more than Team USA. Canada's Piper Gilles and Paul Poirier won bronze.

Fournier Beaudry and Cizeron were seen sobbing after their victory, but their win is now under the microscope after the scores of French judge Jezabel Dabouis emerged online.

In the free dance, on Wednesday night, Dabouis awarded Fournier Beaudry and Cizeron 137.45 points - the second-highest total of any judge. She was also the only judge not to award Team USA more than 130 points (129.74).

By comparison, the US and Chinese judges gave America's husband and wife pair - four-time Olympians- respective scores of 137.67 and 136.95.

Meanwhile, the difference between Dabouis's scores for the USA and France was nearly eight points - significantly more than any other judge on the panel - and in another cruel twist, five of the nine judges gave Chock and Bates the highest score in the free dance, compared to four who ranked France No 1.

Similar issues emerged in the rhythm dance section of the competition, where Dabouis gave France the highest score by far (93.34). That is nearly six points higher than she scored for the US, 87.6, which was the second lowest of any judge.

Interestingly, none of the nine judges scored the US lower than second in the rankings, with three putting them No 1, but two judges - from Great Britain and Germany - put France in third place. Still, though, Fournier Beaudry and Cizeron finished 0.46 points clear at the top.

Coincidentally, the American judge was left out of the scoring panel for the rhythm dance section of the competition.

On both occasions, French judgeDabouis helped widen the gap between France and the United States and fans have suggested she deliberately 'rigged' the results.

'The[re] must be an investigation!' one user fumed on social media. 'This is a judging scandal,' another said. 'There aren’t many times in sports where several times over it seems to be rigged… Chock and Bates (and others) got robbed.'

It is not the first time that a French figure skating judge has found themselves at the epicenter of a scandal.

Back in 2002, at the Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, Marie-Reine Le Gougne allegedly succumbed to pressure from her federation to award a gold-medal score to the Russian pair Yelena Berezhnaya and Anton Sikharulidze, leaving Canadians Jamie Sale and David Pelletier with the silver.

The International Skating Union (ISU) suspended Le Gougne for three years and barred her from the 2006 Turin Olympics. The scandal, purportedly part of a vote-trading scheme in skating, ushered in sweeping reforms to judging.

Epstein Revelations You Won’t Read In The New York Times. 1/2

And I've just started!

I don’t have a team of researchers like The New York Times to review the Epstein files, but I have flipped through them and found a couple things that you won’t read in the Times — and you definitely won’t see on MS-NOW.

Criminal defense lawyer David Schoen sent an informative email to Epstein, saying no one would ever take the Russia investigation seriously because special counsel Robert Mueller had selected a legal team that was a “murderer’s row of the worst.”

Schoen’s case-in-chief was Andrew Weissmann, frequent Times opinion writer (Title of actual column: “A Former Prosecutor on the ‘Incredibly Strong Case’ Against Trump”). He appears so frequently on MS-NOW,he has a cot and toothbrush under Lawrence O’Donnell’s desk.

Weissmann, Schoen said, was known in the U.S. attorney’s office as “The Pathological liar,” because he “literally would withhold exculpatory evidence throughout the case.” When defense counsel complained,

Weissmann waited until the guy “went to the bathroom or lunch, stick the documents under other [papers] on his table, and tell the judge the lawyer had it all along.” He did this even in murder cases, which Schoen knew because, “his rats have come to me to admit their role in it.”

If true, this is a Brady violation, about as bad as it gets.

The Times has frequently discussed the rule, saying it ought to be “obvious,” to “prosecutors with any sense of fairness” thatthey have to “inform a defendant’s lawyer of evidence that could be favorable to the defendant’s case.” The paper complains about the “near complete lack of punishment for prosecutors who flout the rule.”

Democrats are demanding that ICE agents be stripped of their qualified immunity.

Federal prosecutors like Weissmann have absolute, blanket immunity for their actions.

Schoen noted thatWeissmann’s unsavory tactics “ruined” some of the biggest criminal cases ever tried. For example, he led the federal prosecution of Arthur Andersen LLP, a major player in the Enron scandal. But because of his extreme overreach on jury instructions(agreed to by the pliant judge)the Supreme Court unanimously reversed the conviction.

In terms of Weissmann’s appearance of fairness,Schoen said Weissmann is a “Trump hater and Clinton sycophant.”

Saying he could “go on and on,”Schoen singled out only two other Trump/Russia investigators with personal and political baggage==: Jeannie Rhee, who “was actually Clinton’s lawyer in the email investigation,” and Greg Andres, “100% in the pro-Clinton, anti-Trump camp.”

Or as NBC News put it: “The best prosecutors in the business.” As proof, NBC citedone Mueller attorney’s refusal to charge New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio in a bribery probeeven after the campaign donor had pleaded guilty. Best in the business!

The media may want to ignore Barry Krischer, but the Epstein files don’t.

Palm Beach’sDemocratic district attorney, Krischer spent years going after Rush Limbaugh for pain pills— raiding drugstores, seizing records, and leaking to the press —before finally dropping all charges.

Butwhen the Palm Beach police handed him a child sex ring implicating Epstein, a major Democratic donor,Krischer intentionally tanked the case.

There was no excusing it: The police’smeticulous investigation gave us pretty much everything we know today about Epstein’s crimes. The media have raged against U.S. attorney Alex Acosta for his sweetheart plea deal with Epstein a few years later, solely because he was Trump’s first Secretary of Labor.Krischer makes Acosta look like Elliot Ness.

Instead of locking up Epstein and putting an end to his sexual predations on young girls back in 2006, Krischer’s office treated the girls as if they were the ones on trial.

Prosecutor Lanna Belohlavek accused the teens of prostitution, asking them, “You’re aware that you committed a crime?” She also grilled them about their drug and alcohol use, body piercings and posts on MySpace.

After a presentation like that, =the grand jury ended up charging Epstein with only one count of soliciting prostitution. Krischer released him on bond. No prison sentence, no fine== — and no ankle monitor to get in the way of massages.

One of Epstein’s semi-literate emails gives us some insight into Krischer’s thinking. Reporting a conversation between the Democratic prosecutor and the Democratic former New Mexico governor Bill Richardson,Epstein says Krisher believed that “what i did was barely crimianl but basically inapporritate,,,“ [spelling in original].

Perhaps this was merely Epstein’s self-flattering version of the conversation. Except we know what Krischer did.Back pain pills: Bigger than the Manson murders! Raping 14 year-olds: Basically “inapporritate”

WOAH 🚨 Investigator says she’s found the reason so many people believe the Left’s narratives

140 million people use Apple News every month, they researched 600 featured articles on Apple News, ALL OF THEM WERE LEFT LEANING

96 CONSECUTIVE DAYS with no conservative stories

“So have you ever wondered why your niece or your next door neighbor or that crazy woman at your kid's school is buying all of this left wing garbage and sounds like an MSNBC bobblehead every time they open their mouth? Here's why:

More than 140 million people use the Apple News app every month, making it one of the most popular news apps in the world. So it matters what stories go on it.

https://x.com/WallStreetApes/status/2022054183281762418

=We at the Media Research Center analyzed more than 600 articles featured in the Apple News morning editions in the month of January==. Which is one of the app's most high-traffic time slots.

Of those, 440 were from left-wing rags like the AP, NBC, the Washington Post, and the New York Times. All of them painted the Trump administration's foreign and immigration policies negatively.

Not one single article from a right-leaning outletor perspective like Fox News or the New York Post was featured. Not one.

In fact, as of Monday,Apple News had gone 96 consecutive days without featuring a single storyfrom a conservative news outlet, on its top stories.

— This is why millions of Americans don't know about things like the violent criminal aliens being arrested by ICE or the true impact of voter fraud and think that there's evidence that Donald Trump abused children contained in the Epstein files. There's not, because millions of Americans rely on big tech to supply them with their news and all they're getting is left-wing propaganda slop and they're buying it.”

CBS News Producer Quits in Fiery Note Lambasting Bari Weiss’ Break From ‘Journalistic Merit’

"The very excellence we seek to sustain is hindered by fear and uncertainty," the news producer writes

February 11, 2026 at 11:34 PM

Producer Alicia Hastey departed CBS News on Wednesday after four years with the network, blasting Bari Weiss’ break from “journalistic merit” in a fiery exit note.

“It is with sadness that I write to tell you that I am taking a buy out and today was my last day in the Broadcast Center,” Hastey wrote in a statement. “I joined the network four years ago with gratitude and optimism and I want to leave you with these thoughts only as a reminder of things I know you already know.”

She continued: “I am proud of the work that’s been done in my time here: segments that aimed to foreground underrepresented perspectives, interviews that challenged conventional wisdom and effort to make our journalism more responsive to a skeptical public.”

However, Hastey bemoaned that “a sweeping new vision” has prioritized “a break from traditional broadcast norms to embrace what has been described as ‘heterodox’ journalism.”

“The truth is that commitment to those people and the stories they have to tell is increasingly becoming impossible,” she added.“Stories may instead be evaluated not just on their journalistic merit but on whether they conform to a shifting set of idealogical expectations— a dynamic that pressures producers and reporters to self-censor oravoid challenging narratives that might trigger backlash or unfavorable headlines.”

While Hastey noted that this sentiment didn’t detract “from the talent of the journalists who remain at CBS News,” she called this shift in the industry “so heartbreaking,” adding, “The very excellence we seek to sustain is hindered by fear and uncertainty.” Representatives for CBS News did not immediately respond to TheWrap’s request for comment.

Though Hastey did not name Weiss specifically, her criticism came a little over two weeks after the editor-in-chief of CBS News revealed her “21st century” vision for the storied broadcaster at a town hall forum. The discussion coincided with CBS News announcing 19 contributors, a wide-ranging group of voices spanning tech and lifestyle, history and economics, politics and more.

“We have to start by looking honestly at ourselves,” Weiss said at the time. “We are not producing a product that enough people want.”

Prior to this update, Weiss faced blowback in December when she chose to pull a “60 Minutes” segment about Venezuelans being deported by the Trump administration to a prison in El Salvador hours before it was set to air. She stood by her decision in multiple comments to CBS News staff, however, saying the piece was just “not ready.”

“While the story presented powerful testimony of torture at CECOT, it did not advance the ball — the [New York] Times and other outlets have previously done similar work,” she wrote at the time. “The public knows that Venezuelans have been subjected to horrific treatment at this prison. To run a story on this subject two months later, we need to do more.”

“For all the talk of ‘saving Democracy’ I hear from the other side, it’s all NONSENSE. If they ACTUALLY believed that, they would respect the fact that the American people voted for DEPORTATIONS!”

“DEPORTATIONS WILL CONTINUE. And there’s NOTHING Chuck Schumer can do about it.”

“Joe Biden unsecured the border on DAY ONE and let 15 MILLION people in.”

“The American people saw that, and they voted for President Trump!”

“No matter how much Chuck Schumer tries to villainize ICE agents, no matter how many times I hear my colleagues from the other side try to stir people up, it will not change this basic reality.”

Bad Bunny Reportedly Lost Record Slice of Super Bowl Viewers Heading Into Halftime Show

Sean James

Feb 11th, 2026, 1:54 pm

It looks like a record number ofSuper Bowl viewers stopped watching once Bad Bunny started his halftime performance on Sunday.

That’s according to a new report from Front Office Sports on Wednesday, with reporter Ryan Glasspiegel explaining on X:

Based on my understanding of the data, Bad Bunny lost more [percentage] of the Super Bowl viewership from the end of the second quarter than has ever happened before.

His conclusion is based on quarter-hour ratings data from Nielsen.

Glasspiegelreported 135.9 million people were watching the NBC and Telemundobroadcasts between 8:00-8:14 p.m. ET on Sunday, before dropping to 128.2 million combinedviewers between 8:15-8:29 p.m.That exodus of 7.7 million viewers lined up with the halftime show.

“Bad Bunny’s performance occurred during the latter window,” he explained.“This was a decline of 7% from the game’s peak viewershipof 137.9 millionin the second quarter, and 5.7% from the immediately preceding quarter-hour.”

The articlenoted that the audience typically increases for the halftime show during most Super Bowls, but last year’s performance from Kendrick Lamaralso took a dip when it shed 4% of viewers who were watching towards the end of the first half.

Glasspiegelalso added a caveatby pointing out both the Seahawks-Patriots game this year and the Eagles-Chiefs game last year looked over by the time halftime began, which probably didn’t help Bad Bunny or Kendrick Lamar. His article did not include Nielsen data on the 15-minute segment immediately following Bad Bunny’s show.

Still, the 128.2 million viewers who watched Bad Bunny was still more than the 124.9 million viewersthat the Super Bowl broadcast averaged on Sunday. Nielsen data released on Tuesdayshowed this year’s game averaged 2.8 million fewer viewersthan the Eagles-Chiefs matchup in 2025; it also showed KendrickLamar’s halftime show was watched by 5.3 million more people than Bad Bunny’s performance.

As many have noticed, Bad Bunny wasa controversial pickthat divided a lot of viewers along partisan lines, with many supportersof President Donald Trumpopting to watch Turning Point USA’s “All-American”halftime show instead.

Scores of Pro-MAGA viewers weren’t thrilled that Bad Bunny’s performance was entirely in Spanish, and it happened just a week after he bashed ICE while making a speech at the Grammy Awards. Conservative media star Ben Shapiro praised the “incredible” staging of Bad Bunny’s show — which was set in a sugar cane field — while sayinghe wasn’t as big of a fan of the “plethora of butts on the screen.”

President Trump was less charitable, branding the show “terrible” and saying it was a “slap in the face” to Americans.

TPUSA’s halftime show did pretty well, pulling in about 5 million live viewers during its peak, according to what Mediaite could see. Headline performer Kid Rock did get mocked by many people online for lip-syncing his 1998 song “Bawitdaba,” though.

‘Smart’ Underwear Analysis Reveals People Fart 32 Times Per Day On Average. KEK

By StudyFinds Analysis

Reviewed by John Anderer

Research led by Brantley Hall (University of Maryland)

(Can you imagine getting paid to do this?)

New tech by University of Maryland scientists monitors gut bacteria via flatulence

In A Nutshell

Scientists developed a wearable sensor that clips onto underwear and monitors gut bacteria activity by measuring hydrogen gas in flatulence for up to a week on a single battery

The device detected dietary changes with 94.7% accuracy in a study of 38 people, revealing that participants passed gas 32 times daily on average, far more than the 10-20 episodes people typically self-report

Individual variation was dramatic, with daily gas counts ranging from 4 to 59 episodes, suggesting there may be no single “normal” when it comes to gut bacterial activity

About one-third of participants reported digestive discomfort from plain sugar gumdrops that produced minimal bacterial fermentation, revealing how expectations can influence perceived symptoms

Scientists have created a wearable sensor that attaches to your underwear and tracks your gut bacteria in real time by measuring the hydrogen gas in your flatulence. And no, that’s not a setup for a joke.

Researchers at the University of Maryland developed the device to solve a problem that has plagued microbiome research for years: how to actually monitor what gut bacteria are doing hour by hour, not just which species are living in there. The answer, it turns out, involves a tiny sensor clipped near your bottom that passively records data while you go about your day.

In a study of 38 people, published in Biosensors and Bioelectronics: X, the device detected dietary changes with 94.7% accuracy and revealed something surprising about human bodies. Participants passed gas an average of 32 times per day, far more than the 10 to 20 episodes people typically report in studies.Either humans are terrible at counting their own farts, or we’re all walking around in collective denial. (Nobody told us to do it! KEK)

Why Scientists Care About Flatulence

Hydrogen gas is produced exclusively by gut bacteria, not by human cells. When microbes feast on fiber or other carbohydrates we can’t digest ourselves, they pump out hydrogen as waste. That hydrogen then leaves the body through two routes: breath and flatulence.

While breath contains trace amounts of hydrogen, flatulence is loaded with it: hundreds of times more concentrated. Most people harbor hydrogen-producing bacteria from various microbial families that churn out this gas whenever they break down undigested food.

Current tools for studying gut bacteria are frustratingly limited. Stool samples only capture what’s happening when you have a bowel movement. Blood tests show some bacterial byproducts but require frequent needle sticks. Breath tests need hours in a clinic or complicated home protocols that most people struggle to follow correctly.

The Smart Underwear, as researchers dubbed it, continuously monitors for up to a week on a single set of batteries. The device is about an inch square and weighs next to nothing. It snaps onto regular underwear using a small plastic fastener….
