An expert witness called in court for Planned Parenthood claimed that toddlers and infants may not feel pain or be "conscious beings" during court testimony, according to a report from Townhall.

The court case—in which Planned Parenthood has sued the state of Missouri over a trigger law banning abortion after the Dobbs decision—Planned Parenthood expert witness, maternal fetal medicine doctor Dr. Steven Ralston, claimed that a one-year-old is unlikely to feel pain, and said that they may not be "conscious beings."

Planned Parenthood sued after the voters in Missouri voted the “Reproductive Freedom Initiative” into the state constitution in 2024, which enshrines abortion as state law.

Ralston stated in court: “I don’t know that [a one-year-old experiences pain] because I don’t know that a one-year-old experiences consciousness.” Ralston also could not tell the court when consciousness begins, stating: “I think it’s different for different individuals," per Townhall.

More than a dozen hate symbols banned in Queensland antisemitism crackdown

The Queensland government has formally banned a number of symbols linked to Nazi ideology and several listed terrorist groups as part of its crackdown on antisemitism.

The prohibition of the 13 symbols comes a week after the government announced a raft of measures in response to the Bondi Beach terror attack.

The Hakenkreuz (hooked cross) was already banned, but the new regulation extends the prohibition to three other Nazi-related symbols, including those associated with the Schutzstaffel (SS).

The remaining 10 banned symbols are linked to groups listed by the federal government as terrorist organisations or as a state sponsor of terrorism.

They include Hezbollah, Islamic State, Hamas, and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

The ban is already officially in force, after the government enacted the new rules on Friday.

It is an offence to publish, distribute, or display a prohibited symbol in a way that might reasonably be expected to cause someone to feel menaced, harassed, or offended.

The former Labor government passed laws in 2023 that allow the attorney-general of the day to recommend that certain symbols or images be banned.

What was released proved scandalous enough to dominate headlines, but insufficient to satisfy expectations. The result is a familiar mix of outrage, suspicion, and conspiracy.

Epstein’s so-called ‘library’ was immediately presented as a trove of dark secrets. Judging by the reaction in the media and social media, Epstein was transformed into a near-mythical embodiment of evil: A man who is said to have penetrated every sphere of elite life, knew everyone who mattered, and was somehow responsible for everything from global political decay to modern cultural malaise. In this telling, Epstein became not merely a criminal, but a symbol for all that is rotten in the West.

And yet, for all the noise, the revelations led almost nowhere.

The only country where the files produced noticeable political resonance was Britain. Even there, the reaction owed less to Epstein himself than to domestic conditions: A grinding economic crisis, widespread social frustration, and deep distrust of Keir Starmer’s government. From this, two basic conclusions can be drawn. Either the true scale of Epstein’s crimes has been vastly exaggerated, or the US authorities are still concealing the most damaging material. Personally, I lean toward the former explanation.

Many Americans, however, have reached the opposite conclusion. Since the released documents failed to reveal the expected horrors, they believe they have been deliberately misled. This sense of betrayal has reignited the conspiracy machine. Rumors multiply. Speculation hardens into certainty. Politicians, as ever, are happy to help.

The gathering was organised by one of the royal's charities, the United for Wildlife Transport Taskforce, The Times has reported.

Bin Sulayem was one of 40 'global transport leaders' who signed a declaration to shut down illegal wildlife trafficking routes at the event.

Emails suggest the billionaire went on to boast about his visit to Buckingham Palace to Epstein. The paedophile replied 'fun'.
