Bayer Soars After $10.5 Billion Settlement On Current And Future Roundup Cancer Lawsuits

Bayer stock jumped the most in three months after the company announced a $10.5 billion settlement push to settle current and future cancer lawsuits over its Roundup weedkiller. The news was first reported by Bloomberg.

The German chemical giant proposed a $7.5 billion class-action settlement through cases filed in state court in Missouri designed to resolve Roundup suits that already have been filed and potential claims that could be filed over a 20-year period.

Bayer also announced $3 billion in settlements of existing U.S. cases in which former Roundup users blame the herbicide for causing their non-Hodgkins lymphoma, it reported.

The company has paid about $10 billion to settle most of the Roundup lawsuits that were pending as of 2020, but failed to get a settlement covering future cases. New lawsuits have continued to pour in since then. Plaintiffs have said they developed non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and other forms of cancer due to using Roundup, either at home or on the job.

Roundup, which was acquired by Bayer, is among the most widely used weedkillers in the United States

The class settlement aimed at resolving current and future claims that Roundup weedkiller caused non‑Hodgkin lymphoma is an important addition to its Supreme Court case, Bayer CEO Bill Anderson said on Tuesday.

"We are entering into the settlement because it is an important addition to the case before the Supreme Court, thereby minimising the legal risks as comprehensively as possible," he said. "Both elements are necessary independently of each other and reinforce each other," he added.

Bayer stock surged on news of the settlement.

Israel’s Gaza ‘ceasefire’ death toll tops 600

Airstrikes by the IDF have continued despite a US-backed truce, in force since October 2025

Thousands of Palestinians have been killed and wounded in Gaza since October, when a US-backed ceasefire was declared, as Israeli airstrikes have continued, local health officials say.

The truce, brokered as part of a plan backed by US President Donald Trump, was presented as a step toward reducing violence in Gaza and allowing reconstruction to begin. Both Israel and Hamas have since routinely accused each other of violating the agreement.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza said on Monday that 603 people had been killed and more than 1,600 injured since the ceasefire came into force on October 11. An unspecified number of bodies “remain under the rubble and in the streets,” as rescue teams cannot safely reach many areas, the officials added.

Local media reported that Israeli forces killed at least ten Palestinians in airstrikes late on Saturday and into Sunday. One strike reportedly hit a tent sheltering displaced families west of Jabalia in northern Gaza.

The Israeli military said the “precise” strikes were carried out in accordance with international law and described them as a response to a “ceasefire violation” by Hamas. An Israeli official reportedly claimed that “terrorists emerged from a tunnel east of the yellow line,” referring to a military boundary unilaterally imposed inside Gaza after the truce.

Most post-ceasefire killings have reportedly occurred along this so-called ‘Yellow Line’, a designated no-go zone barring Palestinians from large areas of the enclave. Rights groups have condemned repeated Israeli operations there as truce violations, saying the cordon has expanded westward and now covers roughly 58% of Gaza’s land area.

The latest strikes come days before the inaugural meeting of Trump’s newly formed ‘Board of Peace’, scheduled for February 19. Established in mid-January, the US-led body is intended to oversee reconstruction, security, and political transition in Gaza.

Under the plan, day-to-day governance in Gaza is to be handed to the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza (NCAG), a 15-member Palestinian technocratic body that would operate under the authority of the Board of Peace. Trump has described the board as a quasi-alternative to the UN with intended influence “far beyond” the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Hamas has said it is ready to hand over governance to the NCAG but will only disarm if Israeli forces fully withdraw from Gaza.

Trump named himself chairman of the Board of Peace and invited dozens of foreign leaders to join. Israel has reportedly accepted the invitation, while several European states – including France, Germany, Italy, Sweden and the UK – have declined. Russia has confirmed it received an invitation and said it is studying the proposal. Permanent membership beyond an initial three-year period will reportedly require a contribution of $1 billion.

AI overlords of the world hacked: Fallout from the massive Palantir breach

How should Russia respond to news about the attack on the AI snooping company?

Palantir Technologies has been hacked, according to well-known blogger Kim Dotcom. The company develops software for intelligence and big data analysis.

Palantir (named after the magical ‘seeing stones’ from ‘The Lord of the Rings’) doesn’t engage in surveillance in the conventional sense using spies, cameras, or bugs. Instead, it develops software that is sold to government agencies, military organizations, and large corporations.

Clients (like the CIA or the German police) upload all their data, and Palantir (its primary platforms are Gotham for military purposes and Foundry for business) then utilizes AI to transform this chaotic information into a coherent picture.

Essentially, it creates a ‘digital twin’ of reality, revealing connections that analysts could have never recognized on their own: for example, that a terrorist had called the cousin of someone who recently transferred money to a suspicious account.

The claims about wiretapping Trump and Musk are likely untrue or highly exaggerated. However, there’s no doubt that Palantir serves as a massive surveillance mechanism for monitoring America’s adversaries (and not only). It is an “operating system for war and intelligence,” providing agencies with a supercomputer that can see everything. But it’s the agencies themselves that feed this computer with data.

Even if the hack is a hoax or only partially true, such a sensational story benefits various parties. It tarnishes the reputations of both Palantir and the CIA. The company was already at odds with human rights activists globally. In Europe, particularly in Germany and Switzerland, there’s growing hesitation to purchase the software out of fear that sensitive data would end up with a US intelligence agency.

Russia and China – which, according to Dotcom, will receive the data – may capitalize on the story. Finally, Kim Dotcom is a longstanding enemy of the American justice system (he faces piracy charges in the US), so any story that casts a shadow on the US establishment is profitable for him.

The most valuable data concerns Palantir’s developments for Ukraine. Should any documentation concerning the development of nuclear or biological weapons fall into Moscow’s hands, it could provide invaluable insights into Kiev’s ability to create a ‘dirty nuclear bomb’ or biological agents.

This would eliminate uncertainties and allow for the formulation of preemptive protective measures. Furthermore, disclosing the source codes or AI architecture employed by Israel in Gaza and adapted for use by the Ukrainian army would enable the development of more effective electronic warfare systems capable of deceiving those very algorithms.

Former Trump strategist defends ties with Epstein

Steve Bannon claims his extensive communications with the late convicted pedophile were for a documentary, despite files showing a chummy relationship

According to the New York Times, Bannon’s name appears in the Epstein emails nearly every day in the six months leading up to financier’s July 2019 arrest on sex trafficking charges. In April 2019, Bannon texted Epstein a strategy to rehabilitate his image. “First we need to push back on the lies; then crush the pedo/trafficking narrative; then rebuild your image as philanthropist,” he wrote.

Epstein also appears to have offered Bannon lavish perks, including private jet travel, lodging at his Manhattan townhouse, and medical care. While Bannon’s spokesman denied he accepted the jet or medical care, records suggest he had stayed at Epstein’s Paris apartment on at least one occasion in March 2019.

In a statement to the New York Times, Bannon said his interactions with Epstein were strictly professional, noting that he is “a filmmaker and TV host with decades of experience interviewing controversial figures.”

“That’s the only lens through which these private communications should be viewed – a documentary filmmaker working, over a period of time, to secure 50 hours of interviews from a reclusive subject,” Bannon insisted.

The strategist’s spokesman said he conducted about 12 hours of interviews with Epstein for the documentary. However, so far only two hours have been released by the Justice Department. In the footage, Epstein acknowledged being “a criminal” and a sexual predator, but Bannon did not focus on his treatment of women and instead discussed finance and science. His spokesman said he planned to address the topic later on.

The Epstein files, totaling over 3.5 million pages, include multiple mentions of numerous global elites, including Bill Clinton, Elon Musk, and the former Prince Andrew. Attorney General Pam Bondi has declared all the Epstein files released, though critics claim this represents only a fraction of the seized data.

Russia Pounded By Biggest Ukrainian Drone Swarm Since January Ahead Of Geneva Talks

Russia's Defense Ministry on Tuesday is reporting an overnight and early morning attack which marked the largest drone assault from Ukraine since early January.

Russian air defenses shot down more than 150 Ukrainian drones in the attack which included hundreds of UAVs sent in total, as officials from both sides are imminently expected meet in Switzerland for another round of peace talks.

According to the ministry, 79 drones were intercepted over the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov, 38 over annexed Crimea, and 18 over the Krasnodar region.

It is clearly among the biggest single wave of cross-border assaults since January 1st - when Moscow said it downed 168 unmanned aircraft in a similar attack.

Russian governor of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhayev announced that in Crimea a nine-year-old boy was hospitalized with minor injuries, and that there was significant damage to vehicles, apartment buildings, private homes, and gas pipelines due to the strikes.

Neighboring Krasnodar saw a fire erupt at the Ilsky Oil Refinery due to drone strikes. Ukraine’s military boated of hitting the refinery, as it is owned by the Kuban Oil and Gas Company, which Kiev has highlighted supports Russian military logistics.

Authorities in other regions reported no casualties or significant damage from the overnight attacks - though airports across over a dozen cities imposed temporary flight restrictions as the drone wave unfolded.

Russia’s Defense Ministry later into Tuesday morning said it shot down nearly 30 additional inbound Ukrainian drones.

As for the ongoing peace talks in Geneva, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov has told a press briefing not to expect much in terms of anything concrete today.

"I don’t think we should expect any news today because, as you know, work is scheduled to continue tomorrow. We have no plans to make any statements or remarks," he underscored.

Peskov explained on Monday, "This time, the idea is to discuss a broader range of issues, including, in fact, the main ones. The main issues concern both the territories and everything else related to the demands we have put forward."

Russia’s delegation is led by Presidential Aide Vladimir Medinsky. US envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner will represent the US at the talks, and they are coming off the indirect talks with Iran from earlier the same day, also happening in Geneva.

New Mexico Lawmakers Launch Expansive Inquiry Into Epstein Property

New Mexico state lawmakers launched an expansive inquiry into Jeffrey Epstein’s Zorro Ranch outside of Santa Fe in a vote on Feb. 16.

New Mexico’s state house voted unanimously to form an investigatory subcommittee established to the late convicted sex offender’s actions following claims that the sexually abused and trafficked girls at the property, according to Source NM. Democrat New Mexico state Rep. Andrea Romero, the bill’s sponsor, said the subcommittee will be able to employ subpoena authority, public records and witness testimony to “put the whole story together.”

Romero argued state residents “deserve to know the truth about what went on at the Zorro Ranch and who knew about it” in a statement after the vote. “We have heard years of allegations and rumors about Epstein’s activities in New Mexico, but unfortunately, federal investigations have failed to put together an official record.”

“With this Truth Commission, we can finally fill in the gaps by investigating the failures that led to the horrific allegations of abuse and crime at Zorro Ranch, so we can learn from them and prevent such atrocities from taking place in our state going forward,” she continued.

The subcommittee will operate off a $2 million budget, all funded by the settlement between Democratic New Mexico Attorney General Raúl Torrez and multiple financial service companies who allegedly failed to recognize abuses occurring at the ranch. It will last through the year’s close with the ability to be extended past the deadline.

Republican state legislators pressed Romero on questions, including if any further information has come out regarding allegations that two girls were buried close to the ranch, according to Source NM. New Mexico Commissioner of Public Lands Stephanie Garcia Richard wrote to local and federal officials on Feb. 10 pressing them to look into “disturbing allegation” and report back on it, the outlet reported.

Gates, Epstein sought algorithmic control over scientific discourse

‘Muzzled and Muted’: Epstein, Gates Financed Research Portal to Control Scientific Discourse

In a series of posts on X, ScienceGuardians revealed that Jeffrey Epstein, Bill Gates and others linked to the Gates Foundation were instrumental in financing ResearchGate, an online scientific research portal. According to ScienceGuardians, the platform was actually developed “as a for-profit business to make big money from science” — with the intent to “control the flow of scientific ideas.”

Jeffrey Epstein and Bill Gates sought to profit from — and exert influence over — scientific publishing and online discourse, according to information in the “Epstein Files” released last month by the U.S. Department of Justice.

In a series of posts on X, ScienceGuardians revealed that Epstein, Gates and figures linked to the Gates Foundation were instrumental in financing ResearchGate, an online scientific research portal.

The Epstein Files contain a “fund summary” published in 2014 by Biosys Capital Partners. The report lists companies “at the intersection of medicine, life sciences and digital technology” that it considered attractive investment targets.

The summary listed ResearchGate, noting that Gates provided $10 million in funding to ResearchGate in 2013. This was part of a Gates-led funding round that attracted $35 million in investments to ResearchGate.

The fund summary stated that ResearchGate aimed to “connect searchers and scientists … to share, discover, use, and distribute findings.”

But according to ScienceGuardians, the platform was actually developed “as a for-profit business to make big money from science” — with the intent to “control the flow of scientific ideas” and exert influence over scientific discourse.

Karl Jablonowski, Ph.D., senior research scientist for Children’s Health Defense (CHD), said Gates’ 2013 investment in ResearchGate was part of a wave of investments during that period in online platforms. He said investors like Gates recognized the influence they could exert over those platforms’ algorithms.

“In 2013, the monetization of social groupings was all the rage, so maybe Gates’ investment was purely for menial ad-click and headhunter revenue,” Jablonowski said. “However, the power to direct the consolidated minds of the future of science is way more lucrative. It is the power to write the algorithms.”

Epidemiologist and public health research scientist M. Nathaniel Mead, whose research was censored by scientific journals, said Gates’ funding of ResearchGate “can affect the priorities of the platform, with more emphasis being placed on features aligned with global health and vaccines.”

“Gates could advocate weighting criteria that favor large-scale, pharma/biotech clinical trials over smaller observational studies focused on prevention and health promotion via lifestyle and non-patentable strategies,” Mead said.

Gates, Epstein helped attract Big Pharma, key journals to ResearchGate

The Big Lie About Iran’s Support for Terrorism

US policymakers, particularly under the current Trump administration (as of February 2026), consistently describe Iran as the world’s leading or foremost state sponsor of terrorism. This characterization has been a cornerstone of U.S. policy toward Iran for decades, with Iran designated as a State Sponsor of Terrorism by the U.S. State Department since January 19, 1984—the longest-standing designation on the current list (which also includes Cuba, North Korea, and Syria).

But what does the data actually show? My old office — i.e., the Coordinator for Counter Terrorism, which is now known as the Bureau of Counter Terrorism — has published an annual report on international terrorism since 1990 that was titled, Patterns of Global Terrorism… The 1990 report, which was mandated by Congress, covered incidents for 1989. Patterns of Global Terrorism was replaced by a new title, Country Reports on Terrorism… That annual report covers every year from 2004 thru 2024 (note: the 2025 report is due in April 2026).

Although the State Department’s Statistical Annexes do not provide a specific sectarian breakdown (Sunni vs. Shia vs. other) of terrorist attacks, the overwhelming dominance of Sunni extremist groups in the perpetrator data suggests that roughly 90% or more of identified terrorist attacks between 2004-2023 were carried out by groups or individuals with ties to Sunni extremist ideologies, particularly Salafi jihadism. Based on the available data from 2004-2023, approximately 85-95% of terrorist attacks in the State Department reports were carried out by Sunni extremist groups or individuals. The top perpetrator groups each year (Taliban, ISIS, Boko Haram, al-Qaeda affiliates, al-Shabaab, TTP, etc.) were all Sunni. In other words, these are groups with no affiliation or support from Iran. In fact, these groups view Shias, not just Iran, as heretics and target them.

Shia groups like Hezbollah and Iran-backed militias are typically not included in these statistics as they primarily target military forces (which may be excluded under the definition of terrorism used). The Houthi movement (Ansar Allah) in Yemen is the main Shia-affiliated group appearing in recent reports, but represents a small fraction of total attacks.

A French think tank — FONDAPOL — reports similar results, only their timeline covers 1979 thru 2024. From 1979 to April 2024, the top 5 deadliest groups were responsible for 81.8% of all Islamist terrorist attack victims:

Al-Qaeda (14,856 deaths) – Sunni

Taliban (71,965 deaths) – Sunni

Islamic State/ISIS (69,641 deaths) – Sunni

Boko Haram (26,081 deaths) – Sunni

Al-Shabaab (21,784 deaths) – Sunni

Despite these facts, Israel persists in pushing the lie that Iran represents the major threat of terrorism. I addressed that lie in my piece published almost two years ago using the data posted by the Israeli Foreign Ministry. Note — This data covers the period from 2000 thru April of 2024. The dataset excludes the October 7, 2023 attack. Here are the highlights:

It is quite clear that “terrorism” attributed to Palestinians has been trending downwards since 2003. Not my numbers, those are Israeli Government numbers. It is noteworthy that the high-water mark of Palestinian violence in the five-year span — 2000 to 2005 — is commonly known as the Second Intifada.

“Could our soldiers be hit in the region? Absolutely, they could. Can Iran respond if we have an all-out attack? Absolutely, they can,” Graham said during a press briefing at the David Kempinski hotel in Tel Aviv.

Factcheck: Based on a Channel 4 News investigation analyzing FBI emails from the released files, the DOJ’s disclosures (over 3 million pages, 2,000 videos, 180,000 photos as of Jan 30, 2026) amount to roughly 2% of the estimated 15 TB total seized data. The DOJ states this fulfills the Epstein Files Transparency Act requirements.

The Global Biolab Complex Exposed

Epidemiologist Nicolas Hulscher Joins Matt Gaetz on One America News Network

Rogue “Basement” Biolabs in U.S. Cities

Recent law enforcement actions uncovered suspected illicit biolab operations in Las Vegas, Nevada, and Reedley, California. Authorities have indicated that both locations were connected to the same individual.

In late 2022, an illegal California biolab tied to China was shut down and cleared by authorities. It contained thousands of samples of pathogens, including HIV, malaria, tuberculosis, and SARS-CoV-2, as well as nearly a thousand transgenic mice genetically engineered to mimic the human immune system. The biolab also contained a freezer labeled “Ebola”.

More recently, law enforcement raided an apparently connected laboratory located in a residential garage in Las Vegas, where refrigerators, laboratory equipment, and vials containing unknown liquids were discovered.

The Newly Mapped Global Biolab Complex

A newly published global mapping study in the Journal of Public Health provides the most comprehensive count to date of Biosafety Level 3 (BSL-3) and Biosafety Level 4 (BSL-4) laboratories worldwide:

3,625 total high-containment labs identified

Roughly half of global facilities are located in the United States

73% do not publicly disclose their locations or pathogen activities

91% of countries operating BSL-3 labs lack dual-use research oversight

Lab Leaks Are Very Common

Laboratory leaks occur more than one may expect. Blacksell et al found that, since 2001, there have been 309 confirmed and reported lab-acquired infections globally, with a vast majority (78.6%) occurring in the United States. This number is expected to be even higher because not all cases are reported to the media or published in peer-reviewed journals. The most common cause of pathogen escape is “procedural error”.

Our peer reviewed study titled, Proximal Origin of Epidemic Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza H5N1 Clade 2.3.4.4b and Spread by Migratory Waterfowl, concluded that the current H5N1 bird flu outbreak likely originated from the USDA Southeast Poultry Research Laboratory—and not a single U.S. government agency has challenged our findings:

APR 2021 – USDA Southeast Poultry Research Lab (SEPRL) begins serial passage gain-of-function on H5N1 clade 2.3.4.4 viruses in mallard ducks.

JAN 2022 – H5N1 clade 2.3.4.4b genotype B1.2 emerges near SEPRL.

MAR 2022 – B1.2 found in a dolphin for the first time in history, resulting in a fatal infection, just a few hundred miles from SEPRL.

MAR 2024 – H5N1 clade 2.3.4.4b genotype B3.13 (genetically linked to B1.2) appears in cattle for the first time in history.

Given this information, there must be an immediate global moratorium on gain-of-function research, the identification of all illicit “basement” biolabs in the United States, and the destruction of all modified pathogens housed within the thousands of BSL-3 and BSL-4 laboratories worldwide.

DEA Supervisor Arrested and Charged in Bribery Conspiracy and Visa Fraud

Meliton Cordero, a Supervisory Special Agent with the Drug Enforcement Administration, was arrested yesterday in Washington D.C. and charged in a complaint unsealed today in U.S. District Court in connection with his role in a bribery and U.S. visa fraud scheme, announced U.S. Attorney Jeanine Ferris Pirro.

“This individual was entrusted by the American people to faithfully execute his duties and represent the American Government abroad as a leader within the DEA,” said U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro. “Instead, he is alleged to have broken the law, squandered this special trust and undercut the President’s immigration priorities. This behavior by any government official is unacceptable and will not be tolerated.”

Cordero, 47, has been assigned for six years to the U.S. Embassy in the Dominican Republic. He is charged with conspiracy to commit bribery and visa fraud. According to the charging documents, Cordero allegedly accepted thousands of dollars in exchange for assisting foreign nationals with securing a nonimmigrant visa which would allow them to visit the U.S. for a temporary period.

“The alleged actions do not reflect the thousands of DEA professionals who serve honorably every day dismantling transnational criminal organizations and protecting communities at home and abroad,” said DEA Administrator Terrance Cole. “We remain steadfast in our commitment to professionalism, transparency, and the rule of law.”

In one instance described in the charging documents, Cordero met with a foreign national and provided them with a passport and visa allowing travel to the United States in exchange for cash. During his assignment at the U.S. Embassy in the Dominican Republic, Cordero expedited at least 119 visa applications, at least one of which is alleged to have been fraudulent, often coaching individuals in preparation for their visa interview with U.S. Consular Officers.

A complaint is a document that explains the charges against a defendant. The complaint is not evidence of a crime. All defendants in criminal cases are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.

Canadian military apologizes for omitting Jews from Holocaust Remembrance Day post

Following criticism from Jewish groups, Canadian Armed Forces admit wording failed to accurately reflect historical reality of Jewish genocide

The post, published on January 27 — International Holocaust Remembrance Day — referred to “victims that suffered and died at the hands of Fascism for being members of marginalized groups,” and called for a society free of antisemitism and hatred. However, it did not state that the Holocaust was first and foremost aimed at the extermination of the Jewish people.

The issue was brought to public attention by Professor Jan Grabowski of the University of Ottawa, who shared a screenshot of the post and expressed astonishment. “On International Holocaust Remembrance Day, we commemorate the Jews who were murdered because they were Jews — not because they were ‘members of a marginalized group,’” he said. He emphasized that the Holocaust is defined as the systematic, state-sponsored persecution and murder of six million European Jews by Nazi Germany and its allies.

Canadian Jewish organizations also criticized the omission. The pro-Israel watchdog group HonestReporting called on the military to issue a formal apology to the Jewish community, arguing that deleting the post was not sufficient.

Dara Solomon, CEO of the Toronto Holocaust Museum, said that omitting Jews from a day dedicated to their memory “harms the memory of the six million who were murdered.” In an era of rising antisemitism and troubling declines in public knowledge about the Holocaust, she said, “omitting the word ‘Jews’ is not neutral — it risks distorting history and inflicting renewed harm on the victims.”

Shimon Koffler Fogel, CEO of B’nai Brith Canada, stressed that while it is important to recognize all victims of the Nazis, “Holocaust remembrance requires explicit acknowledgment of the more than six million Jews who perished.” Failing to recognize the scale of the atrocities committed against the Jewish people, he said, especially while Holocaust survivors are still alive, undermines their legacy.

In its statement, the Canadian Armed Forces said that social media content undergoes an internal review process before publication, but in this case no consultation was held with representatives of the Jewish community. The post was removed “to prevent further harm,” after it became clear that the wording did not accurately reflect the historical reality of the genocide of the Jewish people.

The military said it will strengthen its oversight and approval mechanisms for content dealing with historically and culturally sensitive issues, including senior-level review and appropriate consultation when necessary, to prevent similar incidents in the future. It also noted that a meeting was held with the office of the military’s chief rabbi to update review procedures.
