imagine not knowing in 2007 or whenever the news first came out.
People just have selective amnesia.
"โAn Act of Great Stupidityโ: The Chagos Deal Must Not Move Forward"

here is the short and skinny on this: the country that is supposedly going to be given the islands claims to represent the people who were displaced. That country is an aristocratic one-family rule dictatorship.
the people who actually were displaced might get NOTHING from the deal and don't necessarily think that the country to be given the Islands had any right to sue for them.
The British ALWAYS owned these Islands for 200 years and the people who were there were brought there, were not indiginous.
something to help those people who were displaced doesn't have to involve the country of Mauratis at all!
and the deal is that a country that never owned the Islands would now lease them back to Great Britain for a very large sum of money every year for 100 years!
if they don't want those islands to but the displaced people back there then why should they get them at all?
oh, sure. I know. But the first time Epstein was arrested should have woken up a very lot of people!
so no indians or Negroes who live in America will be allowed?
what an outrage!
the 'will come from blah blah blah place' narrative is always a bogus narrative!
Gatekeepers really mean 'we will only hire people from such and such demographic' when they say such things.
you act like 'the enemy' because you are singularly focused on slander.
your enemies are the demons in your head.
cast them out and realize what you are doing is slander.
Evacuation day is still celebrated in Boston but I think it's a different day.
Howie Carr might call it a 'Hack High Holiday'.
