The Chatham House Prize is an annual award presented by Chatham House, the Royal Institute of International Affairs, to the person, persons, or organization deemed to have made the most significant contribution to the improvement of international relations in the previous year. It was launched in 2005, with Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko receiving the inaugural award.
The recipient is selected through a democratic vote by Chatham House members, following nominations from the institute’s research staff. The prize is presented on behalf of the institute’s patron, His Majesty the King, underscoring its non-partisan and authoritative status.
