Not Stephen Hawking.

Average life expectancy after an MND (motor neurone disease) diagnosis is typically 2 to 5 years, though this varies significantly between individuals.

Most people live between 2 and 3 years from diagnosis, with over half dying within two years.

Around 10% of people survive for more than 8 years, and some live 10 years or longer, particularly with certain subtypes.

Stephen Hawking was diagnosed with motor neurone disease (MND) in 1963, at the age of 21. He was initially given a life expectancy of just two years, but he lived with the condition for over five decades, passing away on March 14, 2018.
