There appears to be a certain pernicious ideology in this world which asserts a strict hierarchy of powers, and that by submission to "higher powers" one can then be free to do whatever they please with the rest of the world. I am convinced that this deeply flawed ideology is responsible for why information technology has gone so wrong and resulted in entire generations failing to develop into competent adults.
Ultimately all things are intimately connected with non-hierarchical relationships, and so even while participating in the hierarchical structures which we create to function as a society, it is up to each individual to assert sovereignty over their own lives in order for the whole system to function in a manner which is sympathetic to humanity. For those of us who have internalized the flawed ideology through excessive exposure to the computerized systems built upon it, this is a daunting task. Yet the process of awakening to reality and learning how to be an active participant in your own life will teach you more about the function of the world we live in, and you will become more capable than you ever imagined. IF you can manage.
