Not an expert on IT Security, but what program is typically used to create a .rip file?

based on the laptop, what program is preinstalled to create a .rip file?

at some point in time the .rip was created from what, a CD? a DVD? a blueray?

do these programs "phone home" from time to time to tell the company the .rip files the customer creates?

there must be a a trace that proofs that there is that frazzled.rip file without seeing the content.

I think people confuse .rip with .zip and .rar

I thought it was a packed file myself when posting. you could put passwords on .zip and .rar files.

then I realized oh wait a .rip is a copy of e.g. a bluray movie disc video file. it must be something you do with a hard copy to get it on your digital drive.
