Good News: Dan Crenshaw loses Primary – Cornyn and Paxton Advance to Runoff

Texas DeceptiCON Dan Crenshaw, aka “one-eyed McCain”, a man of notoriously arrogant and intemperate disposition, has lost the Texas CD02 primary race to Steve Toth. Mr Toth won 56% of the primary vote, so there will not be a runoff.

At the conclusion of this year, the perpetually horrible Dan Crenshaw will no longer be a congressman.

Apparently, Crenshaw was blindsided and didn’t see it coming. [SOURCE]

In the statewide republican senate primary, incumbent Senator John Cornyn and Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton will advance to a runoff. Cornyn received 42%, Paxton received 41%, Wesley Hunt received 13.5%. Because no candidate won more than 50% of the vote, Paxton and Cornyn will now advance to a runoff on May 26th. [SOURCE]

The greater share of Wesley Hunt’s vote is expected to go toward Ken Paxton, setting up the opportunity for the people of Texas to finally remove another DeceptiCON from the Senate. However, the Bush/McConnell clans are expected to rally on Cornyn’s behalf, in order to stop Paxton.

We can expect to see all the professionally republican pundits and politicians appealing to the Texas voters to give John Cornyn another term in office. Obviously, the decision is in the hands of the Texas base – but we can hope Cornyn is dispatched.

EXCLUSIVE: Criminal Illegal Aliens Behind Dozens of Deadly DWI Crashes in Houston Area, Says ICE 1/2

HOUSTON, Texas — ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) in Houston issued detainers for two Mexican nationals recently arrested for intoxication manslaughter. This, as ICE Houston wrapped up a year of aggressive enforcement targeting criminal illegal aliens with repeated drunk‑driving convictions.

“At least 23 families will wake up tomorrow without a loved one,” said acting Field Office Director Gabriel Martinez, calling the trend “reckless and tragic.”

ICE officials told Breitbart Texas that ERO officers in Houston 243 criminal aliens since President Donald Trump began his second termjust over one year ago who were convicted in three or more DWI incidents. These are felony DWI convictions. Of these 21 were convicted by a Texas court on charges of intoxication manslaughter.

“After violating our nation’s laws to illegally enter the country, these criminal illegal aliens repeatedly put the lives of innocent Americans in jeopardy by getting behind the wheel intoxicated,” Martinez explained.

Recently, ICE ERO officers in Houston placed immigration detainers on Enrique Acevedo Barocio, a 27-year-old criminal illegal alien from Mexico, on Feb. 2, and Manuel Neri Mendoza, a 37-year-old previously returned criminal illegal alien from Mexico with two prior DWI convictions. Each was arrested in Harris County on charges of intoxication manslaughter.

Mendoza allegedly attempted to flee the scene, leaving a 3-year-old child alone in a wrecked vehicle with their deceased mother, ICE officials stated.

Martinez explained that Mendoza’s attempt to flee after a DWI crash is not unique. ICE Houston arrested nearly 100 criminal aliens during the past year who fled the scene of an accident and were charged and convicted for failure to stop and render aid.

“It has become extremely common for criminal illegal aliens to flee from ICE and other law enforcement,” said Martinez. “This is a direct result of elected officials demonizing our officers and encouraging aliens to evade arrest.”

In October, Breitbart Texas rode withHouston ERO officers as they carried out their first-ever nighttime targeted enforcement operation. Approximately 25 illegal aliens were arrested during the operation, which had to conclude early due to torrential rains in the targeted areas of operation. One of those arrested was an illegal alien who was driving under the influence.

Beer cans spilled onto the driveway as officers arrested the illegal alien who appeared to be highly intoxicated.

According to ERO officials, the criminal illegal aliens arrested by ICE Houston last year with prior convictions for intoxicated manslaughter or three or more DWIs included:

Samuel Valenzuela-Martinez, a 55-year-old, five-time deported criminal illegal alien from Mexico with three prior convictionsfor DWI and one for hit-and-run, was arrested by ICE on July 7, 2025. Valenzuela-Martinez has also been convicted twice for aggravated assault and illegal entry, and once for fraud, larceny, cruelty toward a child, obstructing a criminal investigation, escape and felony illegal reentry. ICE removed Valenzuela-Martinez to Mexico on July 9, 2025.

Jose Jaudencio Coj Pocop, a 32-year-old criminal illegal alien from Guatemalawith prior convictions for intoxicated manslaughter, DWI, hit-and-run and assault, was arrested by ICE on Aug. 24, 2025. ICE removed Coj Pocop to Guatemala on Sept. 4, 2025.

Leticia Caballero Guadarrama, a 54-year-old, six-time removed criminalillegal alien from Mexico with six DWI convictions, was arrested by ICE on March 12, 2025. Caballero has also been convicted six times for theft, and twice for refusing to provide ID to law enforcement. ICE removed Caballero to Mexico on March 13, 2025.

Leticia Caballero Guadarrama, a 54-year-old, six-time removedcriminal illegal alien from Mexico with six DWI convictions, was arrested by ICE on March 12, 2025. Caballero has also been convicted six times for theft, and twice for refusing to provide ID to law enforcement. ICE removed Caballero to Mexico on March 13, 2025.

Humberto Romero Avila, a 46-year-old, five-time removed criminal illegal alien from Mexicowho has been convicted five times for DWI, was arrested by ICE on Jan. 31, 2025. Avila has also been convicted of larceny, illegal reentry and illegal entry, and was deported to Mexico by ICE on Feb. 13, 2025. He was turned over to Mexican authorities to be prosecuted for homicide.

Ramiro Castillo Juarez, a 38-year-old, three-time removed criminal illegal alien from Mexicowho was previously convicted of intoxicated manslaughter, was arrested by ICE on July 3, 2025. ICE removed Castillo to Mexico on July 7, 2025.

Victor Manuel Carrillo-Arreazola, a 43-year-old, 12-time removed criminal illegal alien from Mexicowho has been convicted of intoxicated manslaughter and illegal entry, was arrested by ICE on Aug. 4, 2025. ICE removed Carrillo-Arreazola to Mexico on Aug. 8, 2025.

Mario Salinas-Garza, a 49-year-old, 10-time removed criminal illegal alien from Mexico who has been convicted of four DWIs, was arrested by ICE on June 20, 2025.Salinas-Garza hasalso been convicted 10 times for drug possession, seven times for illegal reentry, twice for burglary and vehicle theft, and once for public order crimes. ICE removed Salinas-Garica to Mexico on June 23, 2025.

Jose Ibarra Manuel Gamez, a 43-year-old, six-time deported criminal illegal alienfrom Mexico who has been convicted of four DWIs, twice for illegal entry and once for hit-and-run, was arrested by ICE on Aug. 20, 2025. ICE removed Gamez to Mexico on Aug. 23, 2025.

Jose Luis Mondragon-Mercado, a 33-year-old, four-time deported criminal illegal alien from Mexicowho has been convicted of three DWIs, was arrested by ICE on July 3, 2025. Mondragon-Mercado has also been convicted four times for burglary, three times for illegal reentry, twice for refusing to aid an officer, and once for obstruction. ICE removed Mondragon-Mercado to Mexico on July 7, 2025.

Gerardo Abel Galvan, a 46-year-old, four-time deported criminal illegal alien from Mexico who has been convicted of eight DWIs, was arrested by ICE on June 26, 2025. Galvan has also been convicted three times for fraud; twice each for illegal reentry, fleeing from officers, resisting arrest and aggravated assault; and once for larceny and public order crimes. ICE removed Galvan to Mexico on June 28, 2025.

Despite the ongoing challenges, ICE officials say the latest arrests underscore the agency’s commitment to removing repeat offenders who continue to endanger Texas communities. Houston ERO officers maintain that the growing number of criminal illegal aliens with multiple DWI convictions reflects a persistent threat on the region’s roadways—one they argue can only be addressed through sustained enforcement and cooperation from local authorities.

As the new cases move forward in Harris County, ICE leaders insist their focus remains on preventing further tragedies and ensuring that those who repeatedly violate U.S. laws are held accountable.

On Tuesday’s broadcast of CNN’s “Situation Room,” Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) responded to a question on ending the DHS shutdown in the wake of strikes on Iran by stating that “I see protecting the homeland as also protecting the vulnerable immigrants who are running through the fields and factories where they work or the woman who’s been dragged by her hair and thrown into an unmarked van or the allies in Minnesota, a nurse named Pretti and a mom named Good who were publicly executed.”

Co-host Pamela Brown asked, “So you were just talking about how important it is for DHS to protect the homeland. And I wonder what you’d say to Republicans who say, look, given the change in circumstances, given this war in Iran, it is time for Democrats to come together and fully fund DHS so it can do its job, especially in this moment?”

Swalwell answered, “I see protecting the homeland as also protecting the vulnerable immigrants who are running through the fields and factories where they work or the woman who’s been dragged by her hair and thrown into an unmarked van or the allies in Minnesota, a nurse named Pretti and a mom named Good who were publicly executed. And so, if they can put in place reforms that end that, that stop the roving terror, Democrats are with them. But they also have plenty of funding from H.R. 1, the big, brutal bill, to continue to operate. And so, we’re asking for reforms that protect everyone in the community, not just the priorities of going after the most vulnerable.”

Brown then asked, “But not for areas like CISA, which does cybersecurity, and there’s a big concern that part of the Iran retaliation will include cybersecurity. So, why not get together and make sure that the funding is there to protect the homeland, at this point, altogether?”

Swalwell answered, “Yeah, Pamela, you raise a good point. And if they were able to separate that funding from ICE and Border Patrol operations, they certainly have our votes. They have the ability to do that. Show us you are serious about protecting the homeland, and let’s have a separate debate on these roving terror operations that they’re doing to our community. They have support from me if they want to do that. And I know a lot of Democrats would go along with that as well.”

California Democratic Party chair calls for governor candidates without a 'viable path' to drop out

In a race in which candidates from all parties run in the same primary, Democrats have raised concerns the crowded field could prevent them from appearing on the November ballot.

The leader of the California Democratic Party on Tuesday called on candidates who “do not have a viable path” to the general election to drop out of the state's crowded gubernatorial race.

In an open letter, California Democratic Party Chair Rusty Hicks said the lengthy list of candidates in a race that uses a “jungle primary” system — where candidates from all parties compete in the same primary and the top two vote-getters advance to the general election — could risk “locking out” any Democrat from the November ballot in the solidly blue state.

Hicks said that possibility could lower turnout in the state for races that are critical to Democrats' efforts to win control of the House this year. Voters approved a new Democratic-drawn congressional map that could allow the party to pick up as many as five seats in California.

Hicks asked the long list of Democratic candidates to conduct “an honest assessment of your candidacy and campaign,” and that if, “If you do not have a viable path to make it to the General Election, do not file to place your name on the ballot for the Primary Election.”

The filing deadline for candidates to run is Friday, ahead of the June 2 primary.

“If you decide to file, be prepared to suspend your campaign and endorse another candidate on or before April 15th if your campaign cannot show meaningful progress towards winning the Primary Election in the coming weeks,” Hicks added.

The lengthy list of Democrats running to succeed term-limited Gov. Gavin Newsom includes Rep. Eric Swalwell; former Rep. Katie Porter; former Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra; former Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, billionaire activist Tom Steyer; state Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Thurmond; former state Controller Betty Yee and San Jose Mayor Matt Mahan.

At least 10 Republicans have also said they’re running, with Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco and former television personality Steve Hilton leading the pack.

Some early polling of the race has put both Bianco and Hilton among the candidates splitting the most support in a state that hasn't elected a Republican governor in 20 years.

“The likelihood of two Republicans effectively ‘locking out’ California Democrats from the contest for Governor in the General Election is relatively low,” Hicks wrote. “However, while it is implausible, it is not impossible and I know we are collectively committed to taking the steps required to avoid that possibility.”

==Iran postpones three-day funeral for Ayatollah Khamenei

Iran has postponed a three-day state funeral that was planned Wednesday== evening for Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, who was killed in US-Israeli airstrikes, according to Iranian state media.

The state news agency IRNA initially said mourners would be able to pay their respects starting at 10 p.m. local time (1830 GMT/UTC) in Tehran’s Imam Khomeini Mosque.

But later on Wednesday, Iranian state television said the funeral would be pushed back "in anticipation of unprecedented turnout."

The new date will be announced later, the report added.

Khamenei, 86, was killed Saturday on the first day of the US-Israeli strikes on Iran. He had led the country since 1989.

He is expected to be buried in his birthplace of Mashhad, the country’s second-largest city.

Since the attacks began, Iran has launched strikes against Israel and several US facilities across the Gulf region.

Danica Patrick axed by F1 broadcaster amid fan criticism

Danica Patrick has parted ways with Formula 1 broadcaster Sky Sports just days ahead of the start of the 2026 season.

The former IndyCar and NASCAR driver, 44, has been part of their coverage for the past five seasons, first appearing during the United States Grand Prix in October 2021.

The UK broadcaster revealed its lineup for 2026 on Wednesday, with Patrick conspicuous by her absence from the list of hosts and analysts.

In recent months, Patrick has become ever-more forthright with her political views, closely aligning herself with MAGA and Donald Trump and leaving viewers split whenever she appeared on screen.

While Sky Sports is the official UK broadcaster of Formula 1, its feed was also shown in the US as part of ESPN's coverage of the races.

That is set to change this season with the US coverage being taken over by Apple TV, which will primarily use F1TV's feed for viewers in the States, while keeping Sky as an alternative broadcast.

Patrick passionately backed president Trump ahead of the election, even traveling with him on private jets to and from rallies, a decision which divided F1 fans.
