Man with guns arrested outside Ken Paxton's watch party in Dallas

Updated Tue, March 3, 2026 at 9:37 PMDALLAS - A man was arrested Tuesday evening outside the campaign hotel that was hosting Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton - who is running for Senate.
“Officers were notified of a suspicious individual,” Dallas police said in a statement. “The individual entered a vehicle that did not display a proper license plate and left the area. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle. The driver was arrested for traffic violations. During an inventory search of the vehicle, officers located firearms and ammunition.”

The man, who has not been identified, was seen on video and photographs wearing a black turtleneck shirt, dark sweatpants, sunglasses, headphones, camouflage gloves, a hat, and a gaiter-style face covering. He was also seen carrying a green-colored shoulder bag.
