Australia will grant a request from the United Arab Emirates to deploy military assets to the Middle East as regional tensions escalate.

An E7A Wedge Tail and the ADF personnel needed to support its operation will be deployed to The Gulf on Tuesday, Anthony Albanese told reporters in Canberra.

“In responding to requests following a conversation that I had with the President (of the UAE), and other requests, Australia will deploy an E7A Wedge Tail to the Gulf to help protect and defend Australians and other civilians,” the Prime Minister said on Tuesday.

“The Wedge Tail will provide long-range reconnaissance capability which will help to protect and secure the airspace above The Gulf.

The military asset will be deployed with Australian Defence Force personnel for an initial four weeks in support of the “collective self-defence of Gulf nations”.

Mr Albanese reiterated Australia was not taking “offensive action against Iran” and would not deploy Australian troops on the ground.

Defence Minister Richard Marles said 85 ADF personnel would be sent to support the E7A Wedge Tail on Tuesday which he said was a “normal” sized crew for the air frame.

“We have also received a request from the UAE to supply advanced medium-range air to air missiles, and we will be supplying a number of those to the UAE as well,” he said.

Under Federal Pressure, More Gender Clinics Halt Procedures On Minors

During the first two months of 2026, about a half-dozen U.S. gender clinics announced they would pause or discontinue some treatment programs for minors, according to hospital announcements and news reports reviewed by The Epoch Times.

The curtailment trend, which began in 2021 when states began passing laws to ban medical interventions on minors, picked up steam last year when President Donald Trump issued a wide-ranging executive order to guard against what he calls “surgical and chemical mutilation” of children—procedures that advocates refer to as “gender-affirming care.”

A wave of clinic closures and increased restrictions followed, buoyed by a mid-2025 Supreme Court ruling that upheld Tennessee’s statewide ban on medical transitions for minors. And this year, in a landmark verdict, a New York jury awarded a woman $2 million in a gender-transition medical malpractice case; many similar cases are pending.

Within days of the Jan. 30 decision, two major medical organizations—the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Medical Association—recommended delaying transition procedures until adulthood.

Several clinics that ended some gender treatments last month emphasized that mental health services would remain unaffected.

University of Utah Health confirmed that it will “discontinue hormonal transgender treatment for all patients under the age of 18, effective April 15, 2026,” an emailed statement said.

NYU Langone Health released a statement last month in which it cited a hospital leadership change and “the current regulatory environment” as reasons for stopping its Transgender Youth Health Program.

New York state Sen. Kristen Gonzalez said she considers those treatments “essential healthcare” for minors, according to a statement released Feb. 18, following NYU Langone’s closure decision.

CIA faces furious backlash after hidden document with potential cure for cancer is declassified after 60 years

A newly surfaced CIA document suggests US intelligence once reviewed research that hinted at a possible cancer treatment more than 60 years ago.

The document, produced in February 1951 and declassified in 2014, summarizes a Soviet scientific paper that examined striking similarities between parasitic worms and cancerous tumors.

The report describes how researchers believed both organisms thrived under nearly identical metabolic conditions and accumulated large reserves of glycogen, a form of stored energy.

The research also highlighted experiments showing that certain chemical compounds were capable of targeting both parasitic infections and malignant tumors.

One drug, Myracyl D, was reportedly effective against bilharzia parasites as well as cancerous growths, hinting that treatments developed for parasites might also attack tumors.

Other compounds were found to interfere with nucleic acid production, a process essential for the uncontrolled growth of cancer cells.

Experiments on mice even showed that tumor tissues reacted differently to certain chemicals than normal tissues, further reinforcing the perceived biochemical overlap between parasites and cancers.

Although the document was declassified more than a decade ago, it has recently resurfaced online, fueling outrage among some Americans who say it raises troubling questions about why Cold War research hinting at possible cancer treatments sat in intelligence archives for decades.

'The Americans knew. They read it, classified it CONFIDENTIAL, and locked it in a vault for 60 years,' one person shared on X, including the CIA documents in the post.

Another X user said: 'The CIA knew from 1951 that cancer was parasites.'

However, the document itself does not say cancer is caused by parasites, only that a Soviet study noted biochemical similarities between tumors and parasitic worms and observed that some compounds affected both in experiments.

Daily Mail has contacted the CIA for comment.

The CIA document was based on a 1950 article published in the Soviet scientific journal Priroda by Professor V V Alpatov, a researcher studying the biochemical behavior of endoparasites, organisms that live inside the body of a host.

American intelligence analysts translated and circulated the paper because it was considered potentially relevant to biomedical and national defense research during the early years of the Cold War.

According to the Soviet research summarized in the report, one of the most striking similarities between parasitic worms and cancer cells was their metabolism.

Parasitic worms that inhabit the human intestine rely heavily on anaerobic metabolism, meaning they generate energy without requiring large amounts of oxygen.

US Argues ‘Emergency’ of Iran War Means Israel Needs 20,000+ More Bombs Without Congressional Approval

The US State Department is hiding behind the war against Iran that was started by US President Donald Trump last week to justify an emergency order to ship more than 20,000 bombs—estimated at a value of $660 million—to Israel, skirting a pending approval process for the sale by Congress.

In a statement issued quietly on Friday night, the State Department said 12,000 BLU-110A/B general purpose, 1,000-pound bombs had been determined for approval, noting that Secretary of State Marco Rubio has “provided detailed justification that an emergency exists that requires the immediate sale to the Government of Israel of the above defense articles and defense services is in the national security interests of the United States, thereby waiving the Congressional review requirements under Section 36(b) of the Arms Export Control Act.”

Not included in the statement, according to the New York Times, were additional parts of the sale that “include 10,000 bombs of 500 pounds each and 5,000 small-diameter bombs.”

This is the first time that the second Trump administration has formally declared an emergency, allowed under the Arms Export Control Act, to bypass Congress to sell arms to Israel. The administration has bypassed the informal approval process in Congress three times to sell arms or send weapons aid to Israel, but previously has not declared an emergency.

The push for the “emergency” arms sale comes as Israel pummels Lebanon with airstrikes, forcing an estimate 500,000 people or more in southern regions outside of Beirut to flee their homes. It also coincides with Israeli forces hitting targets in Iran alongside the US in what experts say is a wholly illegal attack on that country.

Rep. Gregory W. Meeks (D-N.Y.), ranking member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, denounced the move by the Rubio in a Friday statement.

“Today’s invocation of the Arms Export Control Act’s emergency authority to bypass congressional review for two munitions cases to Israel exposes a stark contradiction at the heart of this administration’s case for war,” said Meeks. “The Trump administration has repeatedly insisted it was fully prepared for this war. Rushing to invoke emergency authority to circumvent Congress tells a different story. This is an emergency of the Trump administration’s own creation.”

Others also questioned the emergency sale, especially given Israel’s record of genocide in Gaza over the last two years and its pivotal role in pushing the Trump administration toward a war of choice with Iran.

Meeks, in his statement, argued that key questions about Trump’s war in Iran remain unanswered.

“What is the endgame? What preparations have been made to protect American citizens in the region? And how much will this war cost the American people?” asked Meeks. “The administration has provided no credible answers. The American people deserve answers, and Congress must demand them.”

Alexander bros GUILTY of sex trafficking; Could be imprisoned for life

The Alexander brothers, three notorious Manhattan luxury real estate agents, have been found guilty of using money from their multi-million dollar property to drug and rape multiple women.

Siebel Newsom has reportedly pocketed “over $3.7 million over the past decade”:

IRS documents from recent years show Gavin Newsom’s wife has been paying herself and her company, Girls Club LLC, up to a third of her nonprofit’s entire income each year – pocketing over $3.7 million over the past decade.

Siebel Newsom, 51, runs the Representation Project, a charity that fights against ‘intersectional gender stereotypes’ and ‘harmful gender norms’.

The organization brings in between $1 million and $1.7 million a year in grants and donations, with roughly $300,000 of it going straight to her and her company, in recent years, according to financial records.

Siebel Newsom, who founded The Representation Project, which “brings in between $1 million and $1.7 million a year in grants and donations,” is also “the beneficiary of a multi-million-dollar trust from her wealthy family,” according to the outlet.

A left-wing activist group is teaching liberals in Washington, D.C., and "across the United States" how to increase their chances of serving as jurors on cases brought by the Trump Department of Justice so they can undermine its chances of securing convictions, training materials reviewed by the Washington Free Beacon show.

Freedom Trainers, whose fiscal sponsor is the George Soros-funded group Community Change, is working to make "jury nullification"—the practice of voting against a conviction even if the defendant broke the law—a go-to legal weapon for the Left. Its sessions and training materials, reviewed by the Free Beacon, show how the group teaches "committed people" to gum up federal prosecutions.

The group tells attendees to keep their addresses current to ensure they receive summons. Then, during the jury selection process, it advises them to "Never mention jury nullification," "Don't signal an agenda," and "say you'll listen to the evidence before forming conclusions." Once selected, the group tells its trainees to vote "not guilty" for any reason.

Freedom Trainers' efforts—which have not been previously reported—underscore the difficulty the Trump administration faces in securing convictions in the nation's capital and other blue bastions.

"While we respect jurors' role in the judicial process, the Department takes jury nullification and interference with official proceedings extremely seriously," a Department of Justice spokeswoman said in a statement to the Free Beacon. "Any group attempting to improperly influence juries who should serve as impartial arbiters of evidence should be held accountable."

Neither Freedom Trainers nor Community Change responded to requests for comment.

Freedom Trainers describes itself as a "loose network of trainers teaching collective noncooperation." It was established in late 2024 as its leaders pondered a second Trump administration. "Before Donald Trump's election, an informal group of trainers—many with experience working under authoritarian regimes—began asking a sobering question: what would people need if he won?" its website states.

That question prompted Daniel Hunter, the founder of D.C.-based liberal activist group Choose Democracy, and Keya Chatterjee, the executive director of Free DC and former executive director of the US Climate Action Network, to form Freedom Trainers. The group's members include a hodgepodge of left-wing activists. Author and Council on Foreign Relations member Maria J. Stephan, who recently appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, is listed as one of the group's trainers. Though Hunter and Chatterjee are known for their activism in D.C., Freedom Trainers says it "has trained hundreds of thousands of committed people across the United States."

Security Fears Suddenly Emerge Over Trump's Visit To China

President Donald Trump’s forthcoming high-stakes visit to China will be restricted to Beijing alone due to both a demanding schedule and heightened security concerns, according to a report in the South China Morning Post.

“Unfortunately, his schedule is very tight. There is no room to squeeze in a visit to a second city,” one source told the SCMP.

“While the schedule is tight, security is also a top concern,” another source told the newspaper. “Adding a second destination will likely compromise security and create a logistical nightmare, so both sides agreed that the visit will be in Beijing only. There is a chance for Trump to visit Shenzhen during Apec [in November], so why hurry?”

“Given the situation [in the Middle East], the visit’s security arrangements must be extremely careful but we are very confident that the summit will be a success,” another source told the newspaper.

The White House has confirmed that Trump will travel to China from March 31 to April 2, marking the president's first visit to the country since 2017.

Recent U.S.-Israeli military strikes on Iran, which resulted in the death of the regime's supreme leader Ali Khamenei, have had only a “very limited” effect on preparations for the summit, according to SCMP's sources.

The visit will come as the U.S. and China seek to preserve a fragile trade truce. The pause in escalation stems from a meeting between Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping on the sidelines of the 2025 APEC summit in Busan, South Korea. After months of rising tariffs, restrictions on rare-earth exports, and agricultural boycotts, the two leaders agreed to a one-year truce that eased pressures on the global economy’s two largest players.

"There seems to be a really strong appetite to maintain that fragile trade truce that we saw struck in late 2025," Nick Marro, global trade lead at the Economist Intelligence Unit, told SCMP. "I think, at best, we could see this continuation of a detente in tariff policy.”
