TRUMP AIDES SAID URGING HIM TO ARTICULATE WAR EXIT PLAN(That’s Bibi and Israel that doesn’t want to end the war, Trumps aides don’t beg him to continue the war Israel Times is freaked out the Bibi can’t blow up the whole country.)

Trump: Iran war could be over soon, but oil disruption would trigger harsher US strikes

IRGC hits back at US president, insisting it will be one to determine when war ends; while disappointed with Mojtaba Khamenei, Trump says he prefers someone from within Iran to take over

By AGENCIES and JACOB MAGID FOLLOW

US President Donald Trump said Monday that the war against Iran could be short-lived, but he left open the possibility of an escalation in fighting if global oil supplies are disrupted by the Islamic Republic under its newly chosen, hard-line supreme leader.

Oil prices briefly shot to their highest level since 2022, a day after Iran selected Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei to succeed his late father as Iran’s supreme leader. Investors saw it as a signal that Iran was digging in 10 days into the war launched by the United States and Israel.

But prices later fell and US stocks rose on hopes that the war with Iran may not last much longer.

“It’s going to be ended soon, and if it starts up again they’ll be hit even harder,” Trump told a news conference in Florida, after telling lawmakers that the campaign would be a “short-term excursion” from what he said have been gradually improving economic numbers.

Pressed whether “soon” means in a week, Trump responded, “No, but I think soon.”

Hours later, Trump posted on social media: “If Iran does anything that stops the flow of Oil within the Strait of Hormuz, they will be hit by the United States of America TWENTY TIMES HARDER than they have been hit thus far.”

During the press conference, Trump threatened to target certain electricity production sites in Iran if Tehran disrupts global oil supply.

“We’ve left some of the most important targets for later, in case we need to do it,” Trump said. “If we hit [those targets], it’s going to take many years for them to be rebuilt. [The targets have] to do with electricity production and many other things. We’re not looking to do that if we don’t have to.”

“I will not allow a terrorist regime to hold the world hostage and attempt to stop the globe’s oil supply. If Iran does anything to do that, they’ll get hit at a much harder level. I will take out those targets… that I mentioned just before.”

In an apparent response to Trump’s remarks, a spokesperson for Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said, “Iran will determine when the war ends.”

Tehran will not allow “one liter of oil” to be exported from the region if US and Israeli attacks continue, the IRGC spokesperson warned.

The war has choked off major supplies of oil and gas to world markets and sent fuel prices rising across the US. The fighting has also led foreigners to flee from business hubs and prompted millions to seek shelter as bombs hit military bases, government buildings, oil and water installations, hotels and at least one school.

Trump also had a call on Monday with Russian President Vladimir Putin to discuss the war and other issues. Putin’s foreign affairs adviser, Yuri Ushakov, said Putin “voiced a few ideas regarding a quick political and diplomatic settlement” of the conflict following his conversations with Gulf leaders and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian…

==So Israel says Trump’s advisers are begging Trump to stay in the war, when the WSJ is his advisors are begging him to end the war. Israel made up the BS and didn’t realize WST was going to write the opposite!)

Trump Advisers Urge Him to Find Iran Exit Ramp, Fearing Political Backlash

The president told reporters on Monday that he thought the war in Iran would be over ‘very soon’. WSJ

WASHINGTON—President Trump said he was eyeing a quick end to the war in Iran, as some of his advisers privately urged him to look for an exit plan amid spiking oil prices and concerns that a lengthy conflict could spark political backlash.

Speaking to reporters in Florida on Monday, Trump characterized the military mission as mostly having achieved its goals. “We’re way ahead of schedule,” he said, adding he thought it would be over “very soon.”

He didn’t provide a clear timeline for ending the Iran operation. When asked about helping the Iranian people who have risen up against the regime, Trump sounded ready for a quick conclusion rather than to continue to push for leadership change.

“We want a system that can lead to many years of peace, and if we can’t have that, we might as well get it over with right now,” Trump said. He said he was disappointed in the appointment of Mojtaba Khamenei, son of the slain Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, as Iran’s new supreme leader, a move that signals that Tehran won’t back down.

Some Trump administration officials said as long as Tehran continued to attack regional countries and Israel still wanted to strike Iranian targets, it was unlikely the U.S. could easily withdraw from the war. Trump, in his Monday remarks, said he was prepared to continue targeting Iran if the country continued blocking the flow of oil through the Strait of Hormuz.

Trump won’t stop fighting until he can claim a satisfactory victory, a senior administration official said, especially when the U.S. has a military advantage. Trump has at times been surprised that Tehran won’t cave despite the unrelenting joint U.S.-Israeli military campaign, according to people familiar with his thinking.

“This story is full of crap from anonymous sources who, I can guarantee, are not in the room with President Trump,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said. “The president’s top aides are focused 24/7 on ensuring Operation Epic Fury continues to be a tremendous success, and the end of these operations will ultimately be determined by the commander in chief.”

Trump has made conflicting statements about the war. Last week, he said he was seeking Iran’s “unconditional surrender” and declined to rule out sending ground troops to the country. On Monday, he told the New York Post he was “nowhere near” issuing such an order.

After saying on Monday that the war might be over soon, the president added: “We could go further, and we’re going to go further.” Trump has hinted in public, and told aides in private, that he would back the killing of the younger Khamenei if he proves unwilling to cede to U.S. demands, current and former U.S. officials said.

His comments came as oil prices surged—then fell—adding to already existing concern among Trump’s allies over the economic costs and political fallout of the war.

Senator Graham urges Saudi Arabia, UAE to join US against Iran

Senator Lindsey Graham said on Monday in a Fox News interviewthat Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates should honor commitments to support the US if Iran attacks.

"Here's what I want to say to Saudi Arabia tonight, I'm willing to do a mutual defense agreement with your country to give you protection and perpetuity under the agreement I've been pushing, and I hope we can continue to talk about, if you're attacked by Iran, we would go to war for you to Saudi Arabia," Graham said.

"Our embassy was hit in Riyadh. Do you not have an obligation to join the fight with us? You've yet to do that. So if you do not believe the American Embassy being attacked in Riyadh would trigger mutual self defense.Maybe we shouldn't do a treaty with you,"he added.

We should start a nation calling into White House to fire Lindsey Graham, and forbid him to have contact with our Allies.

Lindsay is doing that on purpose because Bibi doesn’t want anyone talking to Trump especially not the Gulf States.

Report: Trump Withholding Texas GOP Senate Race Endorsement over SAVE Act. 1/2

President Donald Trump is reportedly withholding his endorsement of a Republican candidate in the Texas Senate primary race until lawmakers pass the Safeguarding American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act, according to a report.

“Two people close to the White House” toldPolitico that while Trump was “prepared to quickly endorse” incumbent Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX), he is waiting to make an endorsement in the race, which is advancing to a runoff between Cornyn and Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton.

Trump’s reported decision comes after Paxton, on Thursday, said he “would consider dropping out” of the race if the Senate would “agree to lift the filibuster” and pass the SAVE America Act.

“John Cornyn is a coward who has refused to support abolishing the filibuster to pass this bill,” Paxton wrote in a post on X. “Now, Fake News reporters and the establishment are trying to destroy me with misinformation. The truth is clear: No one has been more loyal to Donald Trump than me—fighting the stolen 2020 election, being in Mar-a-Lago when he announced his 2024 campaign, and standing with him in NY in the face of lawfare.”

Per Politico, one of the people, “an operative close to the White House,” told the outlet that what Paxton said “was a very smart strategy because it bought time”:

Paxton’s last-ditch gamble highlighted an area where he agrees with Trump while poking at a sore spot between the president and Senate Republican leaders who have been begging Trump for months to back Cornyn. And it changed the dynamics inside the White House, according to the two people, an operative close to the White House and an administration ally.

The White House did not respond to a request for comment.

2/2

“I think that was a very smart strategy because it bought time. Because now, if you’re the White House or Trump, why would you now weigh in?” said the Republican operative. “Trump has remained very steadfast that he wants this done, and that is a huge priority, and he’s getting pissed off at these members and at [Senate Majority Leader John] Thune.”

Breitbart News Deputy Political Editor Bradley Jaye reported that the race between Cornyn and Paxton will be going to a runoff after the two of them defeated Rep. Wesley Hunt (R-TX):

The Washington Republican establishment, led by the National Republican Senatorial Committee, the campaign arm of Senate Republicans, pulled out all the stops to support Cornyn, making the race the most expensive Senate primary in history. Cornyn and his allies spent tens of millions to boost Cornyn and attack Paxton and Hunt.

In a post on Truth Social after the race, Trump stated that he would make his endorsement “soon,” adding that whoever he does not endorse, he would ask “to immediately DROP OUT OF THE RACE.”

“My Endorsements within the Republican Party have been virtually insurmountable!” Trump wrote. “It is such an honor to realize and say that almost everyone I endorse WINS, and wins by a lot, especially in Texas! I will be making my Endorsement soon, and will be asking the candidate that I don’t Endorse to immediately DROP OUT OF THE RACE! Is that fair? We must win in November!”

Maybe Trump is setting up Cornyn, and behind the scenes the state won’t let cheating in this vote, and Cornyn is not re-elected)

Anons were right he’ll endorse Cornyn if he gets “The Save America Act!
