According to CBC, the pilots who died in the crash were identified as pilot Antoine Forest from Coteau-du-Lac, Quebec, and co-pilot MacKenzie Gunther.

The deceased pilots were described as “two young men at the start of their careers.”

National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) Chair Jennifer Homendy said investigators recovered the cockpit recording.

The black box was not damaged.

“They’ve been able to at least verify that the cockpit voice recorder was not damaged,” Homendy said.

Overnight, the Amazon Web Services in the Bahrain region was severely "disrupted," according to Reuters, citing an Amazon spokesperson, following drone activity in the area. The spokesperson would not confirm whether Iranian drones struck any data centers.

"As this situation evolves and, as we have advised before, we request those with workloads in the affected regions continue to migrate to other locations," Amazon wrote in a statement.

Bahrain News Agency reported on Monday that its armed forces had intercepted and destroyed 147 Iranian ballistic missiles and 282 drones since the start of the conflict.

Amazon's cloud computing unit is critical for Bahrain's digital infrastructure and is embedded in public-sector cloud operations.

This disruption to AWS data centers in the Gulf is the second instance in the US-Iran conflict of IRGC forces targeting data centers with drones in early March.

In this latest case, the woman, 43, says she first suspected something was wrong when she found a disturbing video on her daughter’s phone. It showed a girl being pinned down by a boy, filmed from behind. Confronted with the footage, her daughter was defensive, saying she had “no idea” where the footage came from and claimed, “It’s not me!”

However, within days, the truth emerged in a WhatsApp message the girl sent to her mother: “Then they all did it to me and locked the door and turned on music so you wouldn’t hear anything.”

The assault is alleged to have taken place in an upper room of the youth center in Gnarrenburg. The facility is jointly run by the local Protestant church and the Gnarrenburg community.

Three suspects have been identified — a 16-year-old Dutch national who attends the vocational school across the street and is said to have lured the girl there via Snapchat, an 18-year-old Iranian with a substantial file at the youth welfare office, and a 15-year-old Syrian who, according to the mother, later claimed he was coerced into participating. A global energy corporation based in France has ceded leases off North Carolina and New York where it planned to spend nearly $1 billion to build offshore wind turbines back to the U.S. Department of Interior and will instead redirect that investment into natural gas projects in Texas.

The “landmark agreement” was jointly announced by the department and TotalEnergies in Washington on March 23, and confirmed by Interior Secretary Doug Burgum and TotalEnergies CEO Patrick Pouyanné during a press conference at the 44th annual CERAWeek by S&P Global conference at the Americas Hilton-Houston.

Burgum said much of TotalEnergies’ offshore wind investments were tied to Biden-era “green energy” subsidies rather than in direct power generation, forcing American taxpayers “to pay for energy sources twice. They were paying for it in terms of high utility bills, but they were all paying for it in terms of the taxpayer subsidies.”

Under the agreement, he said, the department will reimburse TotalEnergies “dollar for dollar” for the $928 million it spent on securing the leases, much of that placed in bonds required to develop federal lands, in exchange for the company agreeing to reinvest that money into a Texas LNG project it was already developing.

The vacated offshore leases were acquired in 2022.

A Russian private space company has successfully placed into orbit the first 16 satellites of a planned broadband internet network intended as a domestic alternative to Elon Musk’s Starlink.

On Tuesday, developer Bureau 1440 released footage showing the Rassvet satellites separating from their launch rocket. According to the company, all units are functioning properly and will maneuver into their assigned orbits after completing system checks.

Bureau 1440 previously carried out test launches in June 2023 and May 2024, each deploying three prototype satellites. The company says the technology has since matured and is moving into full deployment. The first phase of the project envisions more than 250 satellites equipped with laser transponders for in-orbit communications by late 2027, with plans to expand the constellation to around 900 satellites by 2035.
