The VP already has real power.
As presiding officer, the Vice President can issue procedural rulings from the chair. If a majority of senators sustain those rulings, they become new Senate precedent — which can quietly reshape how the chamber operates.
So the VP doesn’t need to “replace” the Majority Leader.
In the Senate’s design, the Majority Leader is the team captain chosen by the players.
The Vice President is the constitutional referee who can influence the rules of the game.
Exactly right anon. All that happens right now when the Constitution is violated is a slap on the wrist. Making it a HANGING OFFENSE would give one pause. Also, once the oath of office is taken and any act is taken, proposed, presented as legistlation that is a violaion of the Constitution the offender will be arrested and tried for Treason, Subversion and Seditious activities.
