Epstein Island Had Its Own ‘Pokémon GO’ Pokestop
In Pokémon Go, it is possible to trick the game into thinking you are physically somewhere you are not, allowing gameplay in other regions. Well, someone got the bright idea to try to head to Epstein island, Little Saint James, just to see what was there, and they were surprised to find…there was something.
While the island contained rather basic Pokémon, players were surprised to find a Pokestop there, linked to a massive, very real sundial spotted with a drone a few years back. The stop appears to have been added in 2020 or 2021, which would have been after Epstein’s death in 2019. Niantic has now removed it.

The stop, titled Sun Clock or Sun Dial, was situated in the center of the private island once owned by Jeffrey Epstein. Interest in the location surged after the DOJ released nearly three million pages of documents on January 30, 2026.
On February 7, 2026, players on X and Reddit began sharing screenshots confirming that the Pokestop was active on the island. Because Little Saint James is a restricted, private property, users relied on GPS spoofing to digitally “visit” and spin the stop. The Silph Road subreddit quickly became the primary hub for documenting the discovery, with players tracking its status in real time.
