Many pains come from the stress of overuse and as a result, tendons, muscles, and ligaments act like a rubber band in a sense. Ever see what happens to a rubber band when you put too much stress on it by over stretching? It tends to get a knotted area, and in the body that can throw of other muscles, tendons, and ligaments with the additional pain of what has been stressed. The remedy would be to stretch the area, and hanging is usually a perfect solution for the hand. You need not fully hang but in small percentages of 10% body weight followed by full motions in every possible direction of the wrist, in order to dissipate those stress knots, thereby relieving it's pain and the surrounding areas. Increase the body weight by how you feel, until everything returns to normal. Once you surgically remove tissue, there is no way to restore it, so try this first because no one pulls more Cartlidge, ligaments, tendons, and muscles than someone who practiced kung fu animal styles and their weaponry.
