In a 666-page report, the Marines say "beyond reasonable expectations" and "shouldn't have happened" that an M795 high explosive round detonated early, raining schrapnel on Vance's security detail vehicles at the 250th anniversary of the Marine Corps celebration attended by Vance and Hegseth last Fall in SoCal.

Hit attempt on Hegseth and/or Vance - who were present? It was Vance's security detail vehicles that were "rained" upon with schrapnel that dented the vehicle.
