They got locked out of their ability to create secure hash codes here. That supposedly happened because something changed with the old hash codes not being able to be retrieved to create new ones, is my understanding.

They do not access to the code base here unless they hack, which they probably feel is not worth it too. Another cause could be that you needed 3 computers to create the hash codes too, and if that is based on their NIC, then if an old computer goes bad, a new one might not work, due to the NIC card not having the proper driver in a newer operating system.
