The Zumwalt has all the electrical power sources that the Marines need for an electrified MEU, 78 Megawatts. Combined with stealth capabilities could get light marine electrified units close to shore undetected. That flight deck could launch about 30 2 seater jetson manned quad copters at once. Unfortunately no water deck for water drones and small amphibious units. We need a Boxer type vessel with Zumwalt characteristics of stealth and megawatts, as a lightweight electrified expeditionary force to safeguard the USS Boxer MEU of heavy equipment. We need to get 5 batches of 100 Marines dispersed on land in 12 minutes as the Boxer unpacks and reconfigures as this is the most dangerous time in all our naval operations. Got to be ready for all types of threats while getting the heavy stuff on shore and online.
