Kent gets into a lot about Iran and Israel’s plan that boxed Trump in. Rubio said we only went because of what Israel would do that would be very dangerous for our troops, bases and Friendly partner countries.Renember how Bibi tried so hard to prevent Trump going on his trip to the Gulf states. Trump knows how Bibi and Israel is so dangerous to the Middle East, but want to protect the people there. One thing is Kent said someone interfered on the Iran/US talks and I think it was Jared Kushner being involved. At times Witkoff looked afraid of Jared, where he never did before when he wasn’t around.

It’s sickening and gross that Bibi the dead guy and Israel lies and lies, to Trump and our government and forced our country go to war. He mentioned that Rubio admitted Israel would go on their own, and Trump etc were concerned about our bases and soldiers would be destroyed by Iran.

I think Israel leaders should be banned from access to our leaders and finally cut them off. Bibi and others intent is always lies, this sounds like the Biblical Jews that gave Moses so much shit; its a miracle Moses got the to the chosen land;which was never the whole Middle East, it was where they ended up!

Kent does not have any anger toward Trump etc, he knows how the government disfunction works.

Trump and Kent talked on the phone the night before, and the only response was I disagree you, not yelling or name calling.

I think Trump knows the danger Israel is creating, but he wants to protect his allies in the Gulf states etc, and especially our soldiers and bases all around the Middle East.

I think Trump is getting angrier and angrier for being forced into this again by Bibi and Israel. I do wonder if Israel have made some subtle by dangerous threats?

Trump administration making heavy preparations for potential use of ground troops in Iran

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said in a statement:"It's the job of the Pentagon to make preparations in order to give the Commander in Chief maximum optionality, it does not mean the President has made a decision, and as the President said in the Oval Office yesterday, he is not planning to send ground troops anywhere at this time."

The military has also held meetings to prepare for how to handle the possible detention of Iranian soldiers and paramilitary operatives if the president decides to put American boots on the ground – including where the Iranians would be sent, two sources said.

The U.S. is preparing to deploy elements of the 82nd Airborne Division into the Middle East region.

The planning involves the Army's Global Response Force and the Marine Corps' Marine Expeditionary Unit.

Thousands of Marines are being moved now to the Middle East. Three warships and about 2,200 Marines from an expeditionary unit departed California earlier this week, according to two U.S. officials. It was the second such Marine unit sent since the war began, and it could be a few weeks before it's in place. The first was sent from the Pacific and is still making its way into the region.

The movements underscore the Pentagon's effort to expand military options available to the president, even as administration officials publicly decline to discuss potential next steps.
