Queensland Police have raided a Brisbane Catholic organisation over a banner that says: "From the River to the Sea, come get us Crisafulli."
On Friday morning, officers raided the Dorothy Day House, an informal Christian charity that provides food and housing to homeless people and refugees.
Resident Franz Dowling said he created the banner to protest the law and its stifling effect on free speech.
The Queensland government passed new laws this month that criminalise the use of the terms "From the River to the Sea" and "Globalise the Intifada".
Media organisations, such as the ABC, can legally use these terms in a journalistic context.
