T'was the Night Before Memo

And all through the swamp

Not a creature was sleeping

In anticipation of Trump

Excuses and lies

Were all in their places

Pelosi and Schumer

Sucked inside their faces

A grand audience

Had assembled last night

They learned that their foe

Was quite ready to fight

While I in my mind's eye,

Could see through the matter

The clouds over issues

Made me trip on the ladder.

So down to the railway line

Did I go

To warn the conductor to

"Take it slow!"

And what out of course,

On the tracks should appear?

But a ten ton trash truck,

To be slammed from the rear.

Shocked officials and agents,

Thrown into the dangers

Rose up to the challenge

Like true Texas Rangers

The Doctors and lawyers

Representing The People

Took this responsibility

In a manner, not feeble.

And lo, before night

Had descended upon us,

We revelled in our hearts

In the care of this POTUS

It was in my head

It's out now.
