Opinion: The effect of high oil prices on Ukrainian war

Ukraine gets its refined petroleum products (diesel, gas, etc) mainly (70+%) from EU countries now. Few of the EU countries produce their own oil, unlike Russia. So Ukraine is far more sensitive to oil price increases than Russia. As the price of oil increases the EU, who are the primary drivers of the Ukraine war on Ukraine's side, will be less and less able to support Ukraine.

Bottom line: By Trump attacking Iran he is applying pressure on the EU to end the Ukraine war.
