Twenty two migrants have died off the coast of Greece after six days at sea in a rubber boat, survivors told the Greek coastguard.The coastguard said 26 people, including a woman and a minor, were rescued by a Frontex European border agency vessel off Crete. Survivors said the bodies of those who had died were thrown into the sea.Two survivors were taken to hospital in Heraklion on Crete, the coastguard said.Based on survivor statements, the coastguard added the boat had left Tobruk, a port city in eastern Libya, on March 21, bound for Greece, the gateway for many migrants chasing asylum in the European Union."During the journey, the passengers lost their bearings and remained at sea for six days without food or water," the coastguard stated.The bodies of those who died "were thrown into the sea on the orders of one of the smugglers", it added.The Greek authorities have arrested two South Sudanese men, aged 19 and 22, believed to be the smugglers.

Two brothers were injured Wednesday when they landed their stricken plane in a field on Block Island. 3/25/2026

The small plane was having mechanical problems, and they spotted the open field.

Authorities said it was lucky the field had been mowed a week earlier because getting to the plane would have been difficult in tall brush.

Both people were able to get themselves out of the plane by the time help arrived.

The police department said one of the occupants got a "pretty good gash" to the forehead.

The department said the injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.

The brothers were taken to Rhode Island Hospital. Their conditions were not immediately avaiable.

Kappy’s brief tenure on Vanderpump Rules consisted of a stint as bandmate to Tom Sandoval, one of the reality series’ major players. Sandoval and Kappy’s band, Charles McMansion, only ever released one song, an upbeat club-pop effort called “T.I.P.” (that’s short for “Touch In Public”). In 2016, Sandoval told Ellie Shechet at Jezebel, “I don’t like to talk about politics,” but confirmed he’d “probably” vote for the Democratic candidate in the presidential election.
