Palestine’s Permanent Representative to the Arab League, Ambassador Muhannad Al-Aklouk, announced that an extraordinary session of the League’s Council at the level of permanent representatives will be held on Thursday at the request of Palestine and with the support of member states, the WAFA news agency reported on Tuesday.
In a statement to WAFA, Al-Aklouk said the unanimously backed meeting will discuss measures to confront “Israeli” crimes and violations in occupied Jerusalem and its Islamic and Christian holy sites, in addition to the approval by the Knesset of a discriminatory and invalid law permitting the execution of Palestinian prisoners.
