China Says Willing to Team with Syria’s Assad in Push to Retake Territory

China’s ambassador to Damascus has reportedly told Syrian media that Beijing is prepared to aid the government’s push to retake territory throughout the country.

Speaking to Syrian pro-government daily Al-Watan, the envoy, Qi Qianjin, expressed China’s support for what he referred to as Syria’s war against terrorists, according to a dispatch from the Middle East Media Research Institute.

Qi said he regretted that Chinese Uyghurs had participated in fighting against the government of President Bashar al-Assad, adding that the Chinese military was hoping to enhance relations with the Syrian military.

“Asked about the possibility that his country would take part in the Syrian Arab Army’s upcoming campaign against the terrorists in Idlib, especially in light of the presence of Uyghur fighters [there], [Qi] replied that China ‘is following the situation in Syria, in particular after the victory in southern [Syria], and its military is willing to participate in some way alongside the Syrian army that is fighting the terrorists in Idlib and in any other part of Syria,” the article from Al-Watan was translated as saying.

When asked about Chinese participation in the campaign, military attaché Wong Roy Chang said

“‘the military cooperation between the Syrian and Chinese armies is ongoing. We have good relations and we maintain this cooperation in order to serve the security, integrity and stability of our countries. We – China and its military – wish to develop our relations with the Syrian Army. As for participating in the Idlib operation, it requires a political decision.’ He denied that there were military advisers or special Chinese forces in Syria today.”

New Zealand venue cancels on alt-media personality Lauren Southern

Right-wing activist Lauren Southern has fallen victim to yet another last-minute venue cancellation, after the owner of a New Zealand building recieved complaints about Southern and co-speaker Stefan Molyneux’s platform.

The self-described “alt-media” pair was swinging by Auckland on the final stop in their antipodean tour, fresh off the back of visiting Australia, where Southern begged God not to “nuke Melbourne” for it's supposed Biblical sins. Dogged by controversy, it appears that strife followed them across the Tasman with their only New Zealand venue canceling at the last minute

Southern’s agent, Caolan Robertson – who also manages now-bailed darling of the UK’s right-wing community Tommy Robinson – told Newshub that the manager of the venue was well aware of the nature of the event he agreed to host. He added the speakers were unable to secure another venue in time. Axiomatic Events confirmed on their website that “due to circumstances beyond our control tonight’s event in Auckland has been cancelled” and that “all ticket holders will be refunded within 14 days.”

Donald Trump Jr has come under fire for equating the Democrats’ platform and that of the Nazi party in an attempt to dismiss the concerns of “kids in dreadlocks running around screaming about fascism” in the US.

Trump made the remarks at the premiere of Dinesh D’Souza’s new film, ‘Death of a Nation: Plantation Politics and the Making of the Democratic Party,’ which argues Adolf Hitler was a progressive liberal.

“I’ve been hearing the left talking about these things ― fascism, Nazism on the right, and when you look at the actual history of how these things evolved, and when you actually look at that [Nazi] platform versus the platform of the modern left, you say, wait a minute, those two are really heavily aligned and frankly contrary to the right,” Trump Jr. told One America News Network.

The eldest of Trump’s children went on to say people can’t repeat what they learn in history class because academia has been “strongly influenced” by the left.

“You see the Nazi platform from the early 1930s and what was actually put out there, and you look at it, compared to the DNC platform of today, you’re saying, ‘Man, those things are awfully similar.’ To a point where it’s actually scary! It’s the exact opposite of what you’ve been told,” he said.

Donald Trump Jr’s comments generated a fierce backlash from Democrats on social media, many of whom were quick to highlight similarities between his father’s supporters and campaign, and Nazis.
