Arizona and California is having a huge growth of a flower they are calling invasive weed.
It has healing properties.
So it must be eradicated. Said to be noxious. And very bad.
——-
But…it has many uses medicinally. South Africa and other places have used it forever. Here in USA they are saying it must be GONE and is dangerous.
Go read current news articles about “invasive weed” and see the scare tactics.
But it is free and abundant medicine that anyone can go get by just looking for it, then making a tea or a paste/poultice.
Oncosiphon suffruticosum (L.) Källersjö [syn. Tanacetum multiflorum Thunb.; Pentzia suffruticosa (L.) Hutch. & Merxm.] Wormkruid (p1); worm-kruid (p2–4,6); stinkkruid, wurmkruid, wurmbos(sie), miskruid
Herb; tonic, digestive, anthelmintic, diuretic; infantile convulsions; stomach pain; poultice for scorpion stings; typhoid fever, rheumatic fever, influenza
P1–3; S1; D1; K1; L1
(This is the one growing like wildfire in California and Arizona right now.)
Below.
Has same uses as above flower that is similar.
Stinknet is what is being called
Oncosiphon piluliferum (L.f.) Källersjö Karoostinkkruid Used in the same way as O. Suffruticosum

It is being villainized as most “weeds” are.
Most weeds if you research are food and medicine for free and hardly any need for care or water. They just grow and grow, then “men” and science say beware, then eradicate with poison weed killer.
ALSO
Look up Stinging Nettle has more protein than milk used during wartime.
Better than spinach or kale for nutrition.
A massive weed that grows in really bad soil and will grow anywhere with hardly any effort once it is in ground and very little water needed. It just grows on its own but is a food source and high in protein and other nutrient needs.
