Paramilitary forces in Sudan kill at least 10 people in hospital drone attack, medical group says

Updated 7:35 AM PDT, April 3, 2026

Sudan ’s paramilitary forces killed at least 10 people on Thursday in a drone attack that hit a hospital in the south-central part of the country, said a medical group.

Doctors Without Borders, also known as MSF, said the Sudanese paramilitary Rapid Support Forces, RSF, launched two drone strikes on al-Jabalain Hospital in the White Nile province, hitting an operating theater and a maternity ward.

The strikes, the latest in an intensifying drone warfare between the army and the RSF, killed 10 people, including seven medical staffers, and injured at least 19 people. Those injured were transferred to a hospital in Kosti, which is around 50 miles (80 kilometers) away, said MSF.

Salah Moussa, a senior staffer in the nursing department at al-Jabalain Hospital, was injured in his leg in one of the two strikes. He told The Associated Press by phone on Friday that those killed include the hospital’s general manager, the administrative manager, several policemen and a citizen.

Moussa said he was in his house near the hospital when he heard the sound of explosions at around 11 a.m. on Thursday.

“I rushed to the hospital when I heard the explosion and while we were helping evacuate three injured staff members, another drone strike was launched and I got hit and lost consciousness,” he said.

“The hospital lost all its medical and administrative leadership in this attack.”

The strikes are the latest in a series of attacks on the health care system in Sudan that continues to be hit hard during the ongoing war between the army and the RSF that broke out in April 2023.

The World Health Organization said in March that over 200 attacks have targeted health care since the war began. Most recently, 70 people were killed, including at least 13 children, in a strike on a hospital in Sudan’s western Darfur region last month.

The nearly three-year conflict in Sudan killed more than 40,000 people, according to U.N. figures, but aid groups say the true number could be much higher.

“The attack is even more appalling as it occurred during a children’s immunization campaign,” the MSF said of the strike on the al-Jabalain hospital.

Meanwhile, Emergency Lawyers, a local rights group, said Thursday that the attacks also targeted a medical supply depot in Rabak, the capital city of the White Nile province.

The Emergency Lawyers said the “recurring pattern” of drone attacks by the warring parties since March in the provinces of South Kordofan, Blue Nile, East, Central and South Darfur displaced more people.

On Friday, Khalid Aleisir, the minister of culture, information, antiquities and Tourism condemned the attack and called for designating the RSF a terrorist organization and prosecuting its members.

“We also hold regional backers directly responsible for perpetuating this violent campaign through military and logistical support, including advanced weaponry and unmanned aerial systems, which have escalated violence and targeted civilians,” he wrote on X.

Sudan Doctors Network, a local group that monitors war violence, called the attack a “deliberate assault on health facilities and unarmed civilians” that further worsens an already deteriorating health sector in the country.

“MSF is outraged by these repeated attacks on health care, which have escalated dangerously in recent weeks,” said Esperanza Santos, MSF head of emergencies for Sudan in the group’s statement on Thursday.

“Health facilities, medical staff, and patients must always be protected. We call on RSF and SAF to immediately stop this spiral of violence against medical facilities.”

A surge in drone strikes in the Sudanese region of Kordofan has taken a growing toll on civilians and hampered aid operations, analysts and humanitarian workers previously said.

U.S. and French navies launch Razorback UUV from Suffren-class submarine in joint undersea capability demonstration

April 3, 2026

The U.S. Navy and the French Navy have conducted a joint operation demonstrating advanced undersea capabilities through the launch of a Razorback unmanned undersea vehicle.

The exercise involved deployment from a French Suffren-class nuclear-powered attack submarine.

The operation was carried out in cooperation with Commander, Unmanned Undersea Vehicle Group One. Officials said the launch marked a milestone in interoperability and technical integration between the two allied navies.

The Razorback UUV was deployed from the submarine’s Dry Deck Shelter, a removable module attached to the hull. The system enables the launch and recovery of unmanned vehicles and special operations assets while the submarine remains submerged.

The UUV is designed for missions including battlespace awareness and intelligence preparation of the operational environment. Officials said its integration with allied platforms enhances operational flexibility and mission effectiveness.

“This successful launch is a testament to the strong partnership between the French and U.S. navies,” said a representative from Commander, Unmanned Undersea Vehicle Group One.

“The ability to deploy U.S. assets from allied submarines expands our operational reach and enhances our collective undersea warfare capabilities. It is a powerful example of our shared commitment to maritime security and stability.”

The exercise also highlighted the capabilities of the Suffren-class submarine platform. Its design allows for the use of advanced systems such as the Dry Deck Shelter to support a range of underwater operations.

Officials said the collaboration is aimed at developing new tactics and procedures for undersea warfare. The integration of unmanned systems is intended to support a more distributed and effective naval force.

The U.S. Navy and French Navy said the ongoing partnership focuses on leveraging emerging technologies to maintain operational advantage.

They added that joint activities such as this contribute to strengthening maritime security and interoperability between allied forces.

China unveils world’s heaviest cargo drone ‘Changying-8’ with military edge: Here's what it can do

Updated 3 Apr 2026, 03:49 PM IST

China recently conducted the first successful test flight of the Changying-8, the world’s heaviest multi-terrain cargo drone with potential military applications.

State broadcaster CCTV reported that the CY-8 successfully completed its maiden flight on Tuesday morning at Zhengzhou Airport in Henan province, central China. “It took off after a brief 280-metre (919-foot) taxi and landed after a 30-minute flight.”

The test flight confirmed the CY-8’s intelligent flight control, avionics, power and fuel systems, as well as its overall flight performance.

Developed by defence contractor China North Industries Group Corporation Limited (Norinco), CY-8 is capable of short take-offs and landings as well as operating in high-altitude regions. It is designed for both military and civilian use.

Here's a look at some key features:

The CY-8 is the world’s heaviest cargo drone to date. According to CCTV, this “unmanned aerial heavy truck” weighs 3.5 tonnes and has a matching payload capacity, for a take-off weight of 7 tonnes.

The drone measures 17 metres in length and has a wingspan of 25 metres. It is equipped with a fully enclosed 18-cubic-metre (636-cubic-foot) cargo bay, featuring both front and rear doors that enable efficient loading and unloading in as little as 15 minutes.

This multi-functional carrier can be quickly prepared for different missions and flexibly switched to functions such as emergency communications, weather modification and electronic reconnaissance, achieving integrated military and civilian applications.

It has excellent deployment capabilities in high-altitude and island terrain, and could be used for reconnaissance, resupply, and emergency rescue operations

Speaking about CY-8, Cai Hangqing, chairman of Beijing Northern Changying UAV Technology, said, “This cargo drone is highly adaptable to its environment, uses twin turboprop engines, and has the ability to take off and land on simple runways in high-altitude areas, as well as perform short take-offs and landings.”

However, the drone would be further tested, with the company expected to begin formal production before the end of the year, Hangqing said.

Meanwhile, a private Chinese company, Air White Whale, is developing a cargo drone that is heavier than the CY-8. The maiden flight of a quarter-scale prototype of its 10-tonne class cargo drone, the W5000, was also held this month.

New 'Bigfoot' Tracks Discovered in Ohio Wetlands

Apr. 3, 2026 at 3:36pm

A new report from rural Ohio is adding fresh fuel to a recent surge of alleged Bigfoot encounters, with a witness describing hearing 'loud wood knocks' before stumbling upon 'unidentifiable tracks that measured 14 to 16 inches long' at the Audubon Wetlands Preserve in Ashland.

Why it matters

Ohio has seen an unusually dense cluster of Bigfoot claims in recent weeks, a pattern enthusiasts call a 'flap.'

The latest account comes as researchers and witnesses describe heightened activity across the state, raising hopes that credible evidence could emerge.

The details

The sighting, classified as a 'Class B' by the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization (BFRO), was submitted by Thomas Paulchell, a college professor.

Paulchell said he and his wife heard 'two to three loud wood knocks' coming from the woods ahead, before discovering several large, barefoot tracks pressed deeply into the wet ground.

The prints measured between 14 and 16 inches long and appeared narrow for their length, showing possible toe impressions and lacking claw marks.

On March 15, Paulchell and his wife encountered the strange sounds and tracks during a late-morning hike at the Audubon Wetlands Preserve.

The players

Thomas Paulchell

A college professor who submitted a report to the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization (BFRO) about his encounter at the Audubon Wetlands Preserve.

Matthew Moneymaker

A BFRO investigator who conducted a follow-up review of the Ashland report, noting that the location is near the site of a previous 'Class A' Bigfoot sighting in 2021.

Jeremiah Byron

The host of the Bigfoot Society podcast, who described the recent cluster of Bigfoot sightings in Ohio as something the current generation of enthusiasts has never experienced before.

Floe Foxon

A scientist whose 2023 research found a strong statistical link between reported Bigfoot encounters and black bear populations across the United States and Canada.

Jeremy Bruskotter

A professor at the School of Environment and Natural Resources at Ohio State University, who previously told Newsweek that people who 'see' Bigfoot are likely just misidentifying wild animals.

What they’re saying

“There were no other hikers at the time of the knocks and the track discovery. There was some animal activity in the preserve.

Mostly squirrels and two large deer sighted just before discovering the tracks. No unusual odors. The atmosphere seemed normal, not heavy or oppressive. Just a normal early spring day.”

— Thomas Paulchell, Witness

“I think that's extremely likely…that people who 'see' Bigfoot are actually just misidentifying wild animals.”

— Jeremy Bruskotter, Professor, Ohio State University

What’s next

Investigators say future developments could include follow‑up site visits, analysis of photographs, or additional witness reports from the same area.

The takeaway

The latest Bigfoot sighting in Ohio is part of a broader surge of alleged encounters across the state, raising hopes among enthusiasts that credible evidence could emerge, even as skeptics argue the reports are likely misidentifications of known wildlife.

  • (quasi-defunct-)UAP Caucus Co-chair Tim Burchett (has felt neutered and deflated on topic since GOP leaders passed him up and gave Secrets gavel to Luna; though tells me he pushed the issue with President Trump)

US House of Representatives:

  • Andre Carson (one to watch cause he’s 2nd most senior Democrat on HPSCI, so will likely be Intel Chair one of these years; the former hip-hop artist and Indiana DHS official chaired the first public UFO hearing in 50 years the year before Grusch testified)

  • Jared Moskowitz (still on UAP Caucus but less vocal on UAP Caucus since leaving Oversight Committee for Judiciary)

  • Andy Ogles (he’s cued in, but mostly following Luna and Burlison’s lead)

  • Nick Begich (freshman locked in tight reelection back in Alaska, but if he squeaks out a sophomore term in Washington, keep an eye on him)

  • Nancy Mace (though she’s gotten quite since running for Governor…)

  • Ralph Norman (also running for Gov of SC; he cares about issue, but will do whatever Luna and UAP Caucus tell him to do)

  • Robert Garcia (sponsor of bipartisan whistleblower protection bill, though he’s been distracted with TV bookings since being named Ranking Member on full Oversight Committee)

Who’d we miss? Let us know!

US Senators:

  • Mike Rounds (fmr. Governor, so quiet, smooth behind-the-scenes operator)

  • Chuckie Schumer (meh; can’t tell if he’s pushing UAPDA because he promised fmr. Majority Leader Harry Reid he would, but he’s never flexed his full leadership might on topic…that I know of)

  • Kirsten Gillibrand (I feel the eye rolls from here and raise you the public Senate UFO hearing she chaired in 2024…)

  • Adam Schiff (freshman Senator now, so not on Armed Services or Intel — YET, he’s a Dem “star” and in safe, expensive must-win seat, so he’s gonna get a national security assignment sooner than later)

Eyes peeled*

*lawmakers or their aides who care about UFO but watch topic from distance

  • Sen. Cory Booker (“my staff is obsessed with [UFO]!” he told me in 2023; got engaged during NJ drone incursions; along with Sen. Andy Kim who doesn’t seem too UFO curious himself)

  • Sen. John Fetterman (still a freshman and not on relevant committees, and likely never will be cause he’s crossed progressive left on Israel v. Gaza)

  • Sen. John Boozman (”I think it’s kinda neat that [UAP Caucus] pushing it,” he told me)

  • Senate Intel Vice Chair Mark Warner (skeptical-to-dubious of UFO topic, but his staff vetted Grusch still classified and he’s been pressing Pentagon for answers since Langley AFB was shuttered by incursions for 17 days back in 2023)

  • Sen. Tim Kaine (topic on radar only in regards to Langley AFB incursions)

  • President of US Senate, Vice President JD Vance (thinks aliens are demons or something…)

UAP curious*

*esp. when military industrial contracting complex thrown in UFO mix

  • AOC (attended classified SCIF briefings post-Grusch testimony)

  • House Judiciary Ranking Member Jamie Raskin (told me Grusch was credible and he had more questions for him in classified setting after he testified)

  • House Oversight Chair James Comer (he’s got an eye on Luna and Secrets Task Force, but basically seems to be entertained by subject so is more a voyeur than anything else; but is lead Republican sponsor of bipartisan whistleblower protection bill)

  • Rep. Glenn Grothman (Comer tapped him to chair Grusch hearing, which pissed Luna and Burchett off; seems like professional blocker, though tells me he wants disclosure)

(closeted) Opposition:

  • Sen. Mark Kelly (fmr. astronaut who’s likely the loudest and most dismissive voice of opposition to all things UFO in Congress, though has pressured Pentagon on unidentified flying “drones” that interfere with Arizona’s Luke Air Force Base, Barry Goldwater Range)

  • Four Corners: Senate, House Armed Service Committee Chairs & Ranking Members (one of whom seems to annually gut the UAP Disclosure Act when the NDAA’s negotiated behind-closed-doors; according to Sen. Rounds, the opposition comes form the House, so either HASC Chair Mike Rogers or Ranking Member Adam Smith who in all seriousness told me, “I don’t know what [UAP] means” — though opposition could be quietly coming from heads of House or Senate Intel Committees…)

  • House Speaker Mike Johnson (or Oversight Chair Comer or an uber-empowered aide…) seems to have blocked the UAP Caucus from investigating classified SAPs (Special Access Programs)

  • RIP Mike Turner

Burlison planning to "work with the White House on language" of updated UAPDA

Apr 03, 2026

Rep. Eric Burlison (R-MO) — House Oversight Committee & Secrets Task Force

Ask a Pol asks:

The annual NDAA — or National Defense Authorization Act — season’s coming up, do you think there might be more support for something like Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and Sen. Mike Rounds’ UAP Disclosure Act this time around?

Key Burlison:

“I do,” Rep. Eric Burlison exclusively tells Ask a Pol UAP. “The time that I spent [last year] talking to these Committee Chairs in both the House and Senate has at least loosened the soil.

So I think that’ll give me an opportunity when I go back and have the conversation, it’s not going to be a fresh topic to them.”

Caught our ear:

Especially now with the White House on board?

“Yes,” Burlison tells us. “What we’re trying to do right now is, I’m trying to work with the White House on the language and say, ‘Look, based on what you’re planning to do — does this* dovetail in with your goals for release?’

and ‘What kind of real mechanisms do we need to put in place to operationalize this disclosure?’”

Is This Alien Deception? Kanye West’s Bizarre UFO Music Video Sends Internet Into Frenzy

Apr 2, 2026

Is Kanye West going down the route of alien deception?

In a new music video for his song “Father,” featuring Travis Scott, Kanye West’s video did more than just talk about God. It brought in strange sights, including fires, polygamy, UFOs and aliens.

In the video, we see West sitting in a church, with nuns in the back, a choir worshipping under a cross to the side of the building, an image of Michael Jackson staying seated in the back, and others in their Sunday best as a clergyman walks to the altar.

Soon, a knight in shining armor rides into the church, the police come in and arrest the nuns, and another small object a man holds catches on fire.

Yet, things continue to get even weirder from here.

Astronauts and UFOs come into the scene in the background where the window of the church is, a beauty queen walks into the room, a woman with a shape-shifting face walks toward the aisle to grab her child, while another is still as a statue, before the astronauts walk into the church while a UFO lands outside.

All of this leads up to a major revelation: the astronauts grab West, and he reveals himself to truly be something else: an alien.

The astronauts drag him away before another alien enters the church, reveals himself to be a human, and the man marries two brides at once.

The video finishes with a man carrying a crucifix of Jesus as the churchgoers and the spacecraft leave.

The lyrics also provide a strange context for all of this.

The introduction, which uses the voice of the late Johnnie Frierson, says:

Give us love another day / And hear our prayers / Please, Lord, when, whenever we pray /Father, You’ve been You’ve been good / I just wanna say thank you, Lord /I just wanna say thank you, Lord / You’ve been better to us /Than we’ve been to ourselves.

This comes as West performed at the SoFi Stadium, where he stood upon a giant “Earth orb,” as The News reported.

What makes this imagery especially sobering is not merely its shock value but the deeper spiritual question it raises: Are we witnessing the normalization of deception within spaces once set apart for truth?

When a church setting—symbolic of the body of Christ—is filled with confusion, shape-shifting identities and otherworldly beings, it echoes a warning Scripture has given for generations.

The apostle Paul cautioned in 2 Corinthians 11:14 that “Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light.” In other words, deception rarely appears as darkness—it often comes cloaked in something intriguing, even beautiful or supernatural.

Likewise, Jesus warned in Matthew 24:24 that false signs and wonders would increase in the last days, powerful enough to deceive, if possible, even the elect.

Even more concerning is when this imagery is placed directly inside a church context. It reflects a growing tension in modern Christianity: the blending of the sacred with the profane, truth with spectacle, worship with confusion.

Scripture warns of a time when people “will not endure sound doctrine” (2 Tim. 4:3), but instead embrace what is sensational, mystical or culturally appealing.

This moment calls for discernment.

Believers are not called to fear—but to test every spirit (1 John 4:1), to hold fast to truth and to remain grounded in the unchanging Word of God.

No matter how captivating the imagery or how viral the message becomes, the standard remains the same: Does it point to Christ—or away from Him?
