It's kind of wild how the world just naturally follows certain trends, without anyone directing things. Makes sense when you think about it though, as any given species has a range of behaviour. There's a reason that certain values remain consistent across civilizations.
But It's a big hurdle that people have to get over if they want information technology to survive, because if people can't learn how to properly express their values they will be used.
