Any guesses or theories yet on why the actual fuck a Colonel was manning the weapons system in an F-15E flight? Special weapons? Discombobulator bombs? Something is not quite adding up. Unless this is the Iron Eagle mentioned by Q.

USAF Commissioned Officer Ranks (O-1 to O-10) are further classified as Company-Grade (O-1 to O-3), Field-Grade (O-4 to O-6), and General-Grade (O-7 to O-10).
O-1 Second Lieutenant
O-2 First Lieutenant
O-3 Captain
O-4 Major
O-5 Lieutenant Colonel
O-6 Colonel
O-7 Brigadier General
O-8 Major General
O-9 Lieutenant General
O-10 General
So the WSO Colonel was the highest ranking field officer in the sky. I suppose we'll receive some kind of cover story tomorrow.
