I agree. However, as a former military brat and military spouse, I'd be heartbroken too. I loved every minute I spent living and traveling throughout Europe. The history, culture, food and the people were all awesome. Granted, this was right at the end of the Cold War. Europe had not been overrun by muzzies yet. It's a different time and as you say, some conscription would do them good!
