Roger Stone claims he personally intervened to prevent President Trump from firing DNI Tulsi Gabbard last week.
Axios, citing five anonymous advisers, reports Trump was displeased after Gabbard failed to enthusiastically endorse the Iran war during congressional testimony, and privately "scolded" her over loyalty concerns — though two other sources told the outlet Trump was not that serious and was more sarcastic than angry.
Stone confirmed on X that he called the president and made the case for keeping Gabbard, saying "fortunately, I acted in time."
His reported arguments: Gabbard is loyal, testified professionally, won't resign dramatically like former counterterrorism director Joe Kent, and firing her would hand her a 2028 presidential platform that could hurt VP JD Vance's prospects.

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) – A 20-year-old suspect has been arrested after throwing a Molotov cocktail at OpenAI CEO Sam Altman's San Francisco home, the company says.
According to a statement from an OpenAI spokesperson, the suspect also made threats at the company's headquarters. No one was injured in the incident.
