MANCHESTER, N.H. —

 

In April 1963, the U.S.S. Thresher left the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard for a routine deep-dive test 200 miles off the Cape. Around 129 men aboard were planning to be home for Easter.

 

But on April 10, all were lost in the worst nuclear submarine disaster in United States history.

CONSUMER PRICE INDEX - MARCH 2026

 

The Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers (CPI-U) increased 0.9 percent on a seasonally adjusted basis in March,

after rising 0.3 percent in February, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today. Over the last 12 months, the

all items index increased 3.3 percent before seasonal adjustment.
