The history I'm remembering is that Lucent of RFID fame moved out of the building well before Kushner bought it, and then got absorbed into a series of other companies.

I followed both the 666 thread and here until it just became too much and stepped away, planning to go back. I'll paraphrase from memory. There is some kind of tech in the building, from what I understand these tall buildings are actually antennae, also there are huge horizontal ones, that have the capability of beaming a signal using repeaters that would really fuck with people over a long range, I dunno maybe even blanketing the planet, this was part of the plan and Kushner shelled out an enormous amount, making himself look like a total fool, to get control and thwart them. I think the real estate market might have even been fucked with or they knew it would drop when they sold it and they were getting ka-ching in a temporary handoff, thinking he'd have to bail. Also there was mention of chips that would protect insiders that would cost beaucoup bucks, again part of the thwarted plan.
