Who's Amanda Ungaro and is she linked to Melania's Epstein denial?

Soon after the surprise presser by Melania Trump, in which she denied links to sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, an X account named Amanda Ungaro threatened to 'expose' the FLOTUS. Who is Ungaro, and how is she linked to Epstein and Melania?

Melania Trump is not linked to sex offender and paedophile Jeffrey Epstein in any way, at least that's what she claims. In a rare presser she held recently, the First Lady of the United States (FLOTUS) denied any links of any sort to the deceased convicted trafficker. But an X account, with the name Amanda Ungaro, claiming to be an Epstein survivor and a "longtime acquaintance" of FLOTUS for at least two decades, has threatened to expose Melania’s "hidden connections".

"Hello Melania, I was around you for 20 years. You knew I was inside ICE, and you know what hurts after all this time? I stayed close to your family — your mother and your father — not because of you, but because of them, at events and everything else," the post on Ungaro's account read. "So shut your mouth when speaking about me. Because I will expose everything I know," she warned.

The veracity of the account making posts against Melania Trump couldn't be verified independently by India Today Digital. However, the account carries a Blue Tick, and is based in Latin America, and has been active since December 2025.

Melania's remarks on Epstein came as a surprise even for White House officials. "Some White House officials were stunned by the timing of the First Lady's remarks, which sparked rumours that she was trying to get out ahead of something," Senior White Correspondent of CNN Kristen Holmes posted on X.

According to Holmes, one official said there was disagreement among those close to Melania Trump as to whether or not to go through with the remarks, given that the story had died down. "But stories linking the First Lady to Epstein were still circulating online, and Melania Trump wanted to go on the record with a firm denial", she added.

US President Donald Trump also said he did not know "anything" about his wife's plans to speak on the Epstein files.

The abruptness of the move has fuelled a wave of online speculation, much of it centering on Amanda Ungaro.

The warning post shared in the name of Amanda Ungaro to Melania Trump went viral on the internet, creating a buzz around the connection of US First Lady Melania, US President Donald Trump, and Epstein.

Amanda Ungaro is a model and is reportedly the partner of a former modelling agent and Trump ally, Paolo Zampolli. Zampolli is the person who brought Melania to the US while she was a model and introduced her to Donald Trump.

Ungaro was discovered by Paolo Zampolli when he was a modelling agent. Zampolli began grooming her for a modelling career and recruited her to come to the US.

In an interview with Brazil's O Globo newspaper, Amanda Ungaro shared her first encounter with Jeffrey Epstein. She said that she flew from Paris to New York on Jeffrey Epstein's private jet at the age of 17. Ungaro directly stated she boarded the plane with her agent Jean-Luc Brunel.

"About 30 girls, beautiful and very young, I felt immediate discomfort and wanted to get off the plane," Ungaro described the journey in Epstein's Flight.

"I sensed something was wrong, but did not fully understand the abuse at the time", she added. Although she has not accused Epstein of personally assaulting her, she has positioned herself as a victim of Epstein's modelling ecosystem. According to news reports, the couple was separated in 2023.

Ungaro, in an interview, said, "At New Year's parties at Mar-a-Lago, we and one other couple were the only ones at the table with Trump and Melania." She also claimed that she was close to Melania and Trump due to Zampolli.

Later, in 2025, Amanda Ungaro was arrested in Miami for running an alleged unlicenced cosmetic surgery or Botox clinic. Shortly after the arrest, she was transferred to ICE immigration detention. She remained in ICE custody for more than three months. In September 2025, Ungaro herself requested that an immigration judge order her deportation back to Brazil.

The posts by Amanda Ungaro have gone viral. Previously, other accounts have also made such comments and allegations against Melania.

Deported Brazilian model Amanda Ungaro publicly threatened Melania Trump with legal action one day before the First Lady's surprise White House denial of any Epstein ties.

Ungaro, 41, appeared to direct her messages at an archived post from the First Lady's official account, @FLOTUS45, which featured a farewell message dated January 2021. Replying directly to that post on 9 April, Ungaro issued a string of escalating statements.

'I have nothing left to lose in my life. I will tear down the entire system—be careful with me b**,' she wrote. In a follow-up post, she added: 'I will tear down your corrupt system, even if it's the last thing I do in my life. I will go all the way—I am not afraid.'

She went further still, writing: 'Maybe you should be afraid of what I know… of who you are, and who your husband is.' In another post, she claimed she would 'take legal action' against the First Lady and her husband, before making additional unverified allegations.

Ungaro also referenced what she described as a long-standing personal connection, claiming: 'I have known you for 20 years. You knew I was detained in ICE. You were present in my life—every year on my son's birthday, even sending Secret Service and being the first to congratulate him, back in 2016.'

Public Claims Surface Ahead of White House Statement

The posts emerged shortly before Mrs Trump appeared in the Grand Foyer of the White House, where she firmly rejected any connection to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

She stated she was 'not Epstein's victim', denied claims that Epstein had introduced her to her husband, and insisted she had never travelled on his aircraft or visited his private island. She did not take questions.

The First Lady did not reference Ungaro directly. Her office has previously said Mrs Trump has 'no knowledge of, nor involvement in, the personal affairs' of Paolo Zampolli and Ungaro, and has had no contact with US Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Who Is Amanda Ungaro?

Born in Londrina in southern Brazil, Amanda Ungaro moved to New York in 2002 at the age of 17. In unverified statements, she has alleged that her connection to the modelling world began earlier, claiming Paolo Zampolli began pursuing her when she was around 15. She has also said she was flown on Jeffrey Epstein's plane at the age of 16, describing that period as the beginning of what she called a 'nightmare'.

Her relocation to the United States was arranged by French modelling agent Jean-Luc Brunel, who later faced charges in France related to the exploitation of minors and died in custody in 2022. Ungaro went on to live in the US for more than two decades, splitting her time between Manhattan and Palm Beach, and later held a ceremonial role as Grenada's ambassador to the United Nations.

Ungaro was in a long-term relationship with Italian-American businessman Paolo Zampolli, with whom she shares a teenage son. Iran Negotiating From a Dominant Position… And Melania’s Strange Presser on Epstein

Despite White House denials, the US has caved to Iran’s demands and a de facto ceasefire is now in effect in Lebanon. Iran is showing no sign of releasing its choke-hold on the Strait of Hormuz, that prohibits any ship associated with the US, Israel or their allies from entering or leaving. That will be one of the critical items on the agenda. I believe that Iran will agree to allow all ships, regardless of national affiliation, to pass thru the Strait provided they pay a fee in Chinese yuan. While the US wants to confine the talks to bi-lateral issues between the US and Iran, the Iranians are insisting that Israel’s war of genocide in Gaza and invasion of southern Lebanon must also be addressed. This may be a bridge too far for the US team, but I do not see Iran backing down on this issue.

I have seen conflicting reports on whether the talks will be direct — i.e., both sides sit in the same room and speak to each other — or indirect — i.e., the Pakistani mediator shuttles between two separate rooms passing on a message from one side to the other. While Iran would prefer to stop the war now, it is not desperate to reach a settlement… That is the position of the Trump team. Opinion polls have moved decisively against Donald Trump and against Israel and lead negotiator, JD Vance, is fully aware of the political bloodbath that awaits the Republicans if this war drags on or, worse, escalates.

You know the war is going bad when, out of the blue, First Lady Melania Trump shows up in the Grand Foyer of the White House addressing rumors and delivers a carefully prepared statement challenging allegations linking her to the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. She insisted that she never had a relationship with Epstein or his accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell… Yet, there are numerous photos of her with Epstein that undercut her claim that she really did not know him. Why did she do this and why now?

Ungaro reportedly will spill some toxic beans about Melania and Donald’s relationship with Jeffrey Epstein.

This whole situation is ripe with irony. Trump is alleged by some to have attacked Iran in order to distract from the Jeffrey Epstein case. And now? Melania resurrects the Epstein case in order to divert attention from Trump surrendering to Iran.
