Meta Builds Photorealistic AI Version Of Mark Zuckerberg To Interact With Employees
Meta is developing an artificial intelligence-powered replica of CEO Mark Zuckerberg capable of engaging directly with employees, as the $1.6 trillion company intensifies its efforts to reshape itself around AI.
According to FT, the social media giant has been working on photorealistic, AI-driven 3D characters that users can interact with in real time - and has recently prioritized the development of a Zuckerberg AI character, which could provide conversation, feedback, and a stronger sense of connection to the founder for staff. AI Zuckerberg is being trained not only on textual data but also on images of the CEO and recordings of his voice. Should the experiment succeed, Meta envisions a future in which influencers and creators could similarly generate AI versions of themselves.
AI Zuck is being developed using his mannerisms, tone of voice, publicly available statements, and his latest thinking on company strategy. The initiative remains in its early stages.

Israel’s war in Lebanon has entered a stage in which claims of supposedly precise strikes on military infrastructure can no longer be taken seriously.
The scale of the operations, the depth of the advance in the south, the destruction of bridges and residential neighborhoods, the massive strikes on Beirut, and the steady expansion of the so-called buffer zone all show that this is not merely a tactical effort to contain Hezbollah. It is an attempt to reshape the military and political reality of southern Lebanon for years to come. Israel describes this as the creation of a security belt up to the Litani River. In the language of the region, however, it reads differently. It is a course toward long term control of territory, the depopulation of the border strip, and the creation of facts on the ground that will be extremely difficult to reverse.
Formally, the new phase of the war began on March 2, when Hezbollah opened fire on Israel after American and Israeli strikes on Iran and the killing of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Israel responded with a broad air campaign against Lebanon and then expanded its ground operations in the south. At that point, the government of Nawaf Salam tried to distance itself from Hezbollah’s decision and took the unprecedented step of banning the movement’s military activity outside state institutions, demanding that its weapons be handed over to the state. This was an important sign of a shifting balance within Lebanon itself. Hezbollah can no longer act as though its armed autonomy is automatically accepted by the entire state. Yet the move also revealed the other side of the crisis. Beirut is exerting political pressure on Hezbollah, but it has neither the resources nor the internal consensus to disarm it quickly without risking a deeper internal fracture.
A land grab by any other name
From a military point of view, Israel rapidly moved far beyond the boundaries of retaliatory strikes. By late March, Defense Minister Israel Katz had openly declared the intention to hold southern Lebanon up to the Litani as a security zone, which means nearly a tenth of Lebanese territory. This was followed by strikes on bridges, the destruction of homes in border villages, and evacuation orders for residents south of the river. Soon afterward, Israel was already constructing new fortifications and destroying increasingly empty villages, while Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was openly speaking of expanding the security strip. The Israeli military machine was no longer concealing the long-term nature of the operation. This was no raid. It was a project of territorial transformation under the military pretext of combating Hezbollah.

4 Sinaloa Cartel-Linked Defendants Arrested on Federal Indictment Alleging They Operated Family-Run Drug and Gun Trafficking Ring
LOS ANGELES – Law enforcement today arrested four Sinaloa Cartel-linked defendants – all members of the same family, three of them illegal aliens from Mexico – who are charged in a 29-count federal grand jury indictment alleging they trafficked fentanyl, pound quantities of methamphetamine, and firearms, including so-called “ghost guns” lacking serial numbers.
The following defendants were arrested today and are expected to make their initial appearances and be arraigned this afternoon in United States District Court in downtown Los Angeles:
José Luis Salazar-Cruz, 44, a.k.a. “Oso,” of Lancaster, an illegal alien from Mexico;
Alfonso Salazar, 46, a.k.a. “Pirate,” of Lancaster, an illegal alien from Mexico;
José Manuel Salazar, 22, a.k.a. “Lil Oso,” of Lancaster; and
Jorge Humberto Salazar, 43, a.k.a. “Sharky,” of Hesperia; an illegal alien from Mexico.
José Luis Salazar-Cruz, Alfonso Salazar, and Jorge Humberto Salazar are brothers. José Manuel Salazar is José Luis Salazar-Cruz’s son.
Law enforcement continues to search for co-defendant José Ángel López Paniagua, 23, of Littlerock.
All five defendants are charged with one count of conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute controlled substances, one count of conspiracy to engage in the business of dealing in firearms without a license, and one count of engaging in the business of dealing in firearms without a license.
Salazar-Cruz is charged with seven counts of being an alien in possession of firearms, seven counts of distribution of methamphetamine, four counts of distribution of fentanyl, one count of trafficking in firearms, one count of possession of a destructive device, and one count of possession of an unregistered short-barreled rifle.
The other defendants are charged with various felonies – with Paniagua charged with two counts of possessing firearms in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime, two counts of distribution of fentanyl, two counts of distribution of methamphetamine, and one count of possession of an unregistered short-barreled rifle. Among the charges Alfonso Salazar faces is distribution of methamphetamine and being an alien in possession of a firearm.
According to the indictment, from February 2024 to December 2025, Salazar-Cruz used text messaging applications, encrypted messaging applications, telephone calls, and in-person meetings to coordinate the sale of narcotics, including fentanyl and methamphetamine, as well as firearms. The other defendants charged then brokered sales of the drugs and firearms between suppliers and customers and met with customers to sell the drugs.

Hanahan City Councilman and Mayor Pro Tem Arrested for Possession, Production of Child Sexual Abuse Material
CHARLESTON, S.C. — According to a criminal complaint and arrest warrant unsealed today, Kevin Phillip Hedgpeth, 48, City of Hanahan Mayor Pro Tem and member of City Council, has been charged with possession and production of child sexual abuse material.*
According to the charging document, which was authorized by United States Magistrate Judge Mary Gordon Baker, an investigation by Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) identified Hedgpeth as a member of a forum on social media that was facilitating the sale of child sexual abuse material.
Further investigation revealed that Hedgpeth has paid numerous minors who have been identified as likely victims of child sex abuse in CyberTips submitted to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. From December 2021 to present, Hedgpeth’s Cash App and PayPal accounts paid 47 accounts that were either associated with minors or suspected of selling content. The accounts Hedgpeth paid include minors in the Charleston, South Carolina area.
Further investigation revealed that videos and images depicting child sexual abuse were stored in an iCloud account registered to Hedgpeth’s personal e-mail address, his cellular phone, and his home address, and that the account had been accessed frequently from his home internet router. Hedgpeth used his iCloud account and social media to communicate with children, to direct them to produce sexually explicit photographs and videos, and to send these videos to him in exchange for money. One victim was 12 years old when the communication began. Hedgpeth paid that minor for child sex abuse videos, and he pressured that minor to produce content with the minor’s 15-year-old brother. At times, Hedgpeth pretended to be a minor, and at others, he distributed child sexual abuse videos to minors to entice them to produce and sell similar content to him.

The day after the elections in Hungary, a visual circulated on social media featuring headshots of four men: Donald Trump, Vladimir Putin, Viktor Orbán and Benjamin Netanyahu. An X was drawn over Orbán’s image. The message was clear: one is gone, three remain.
Of all the data from recent months pointing to Israel’s sharp decline in standing in the United States, this simple meme captures better than anything how deep — and deepening — the hole has become. Much of the world — and now many Americans in both parties — sees these four men as responsible for much of the current global suffering. The fact that two of them are leaders of the United States and Israel is both unprecedented and deeply troubling.
The noise of Israel’s declining status in the United States has been especially loud over the past three years, but it is the culmination of a process that has unfolded over nearly two decades, one that no one seriously tried to stop and that may now be too late to reverse.
The latest Pew Research Center poll, showing that 60% of Americans hold an unfavorable view of Israel — including 41% of Republicans — is nothing short of a catastrophe. Israel’s position in the United States is far worse than many Israelis, living in a bubble, understand or choose to acknowledge.
Over the weekend, the satirical program “Saturday Night Live” joked that Netanyahu is the one giving orders to the U.S. military. It may have been a jab at Trump, but it also pointed a finger at Israel in a way that the American media mainstream — and there is nothing more mainstream than “Saturday Night Live” — had not dared to do in the past.
This growing backlash is now present almost everywhere outside Washington, but the history of American politics shows that what happens in the streets eventually reaches the halls of Capitol Hill — especially as the generation that still believes Israel is entitled to unconditional U.S. support approaches the end of its influence.

Study of 15,000 Nursing Homes Finds Death Risk Lasted Far Longer in the COVID-Vaccinated Than in the Unvaccinated After Infection
A new peer-reviewed study analyzing 15,022 U.S. nursing homes found that COVID-vaccinated residents experienced a prolonged risk of death following infection compared to unvaccinated residents.
The dataset used in this analysis originated from the CDC’s National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN), based on reporting from Medicare- and Medicaid-certified nursing homes. Strangely, this dataset was pulled from the CMS public website and is no longer publicly accessible. Thankfully, the authors were able to obtain the data before the government deleted the webpage. At present, this archived version is the only publicly available source of these data.
Using the now-deleted weekly facility-level Medicare/CDC data from May 2022 through June 2023, they examined all-cause mortality alongside confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infections, stratified by vaccination status. The analysis applied mixed Poisson regression models with adjustment for both time-invariant and time-varying confounders, along with lagged and reverse-lagged models to evaluate temporal directionality.
Mortality increased across all groups following infection—but the duration of elevated death risk differed dramatically:
Unvaccinated: ~1 week of elevated mortality
Partially vaccinated: ~3 weeks
Fully vaccinated: ~5 weeks
In other words, the more vaccinated the population, the longer the period of elevated death risk following infection.
McCullough Foundation Scholar Dr. M. Nathaniel Mead, co-author of the study, joined me to break down these data and implications of these findings.
As Dr. Mead explained, the study was designed to answer a fundamental question:
Did COVID vaccination actually reduce mortality burden in the most vulnerable population—elderly nursing home residents?
The answer, based on this dataset, appears to be no. While infection waves predictably increased deaths across all groups, vaccination did NOT shorten the mortality burden following infection. Instead, the data show a prolonged mortality signal in vaccinated individuals.
According to epidemiologist and lead author of the study Kris Denhaerynck, PhD:
“We cannot directly infer from these data that the vaccinated died in higher numbers without further individual-level verification. Nevertheless, if the vaccines were truly intended to reduce severe COVID-19 disease and mortality, then fully vaccinated residents testing SARS-CoV-2-positive should not show prolonged mortality. This is a safety observation that cannot simply be dismissed as an artifact of aggregated or otherwise biased data. On the contrary, it warrants urgent investigation; and if found to be robust, would fundamentally challenge current assumptions about the vaccine performance in frail elderly. The fact that such longitudinal signals are routinely marginalized suggests that a rigorous investigation of this possibility is seen as inconvenient, if not entirely unwelcome.”
This large-scale, real-world analysis of U.S. nursing homes provides one of the clearest temporal signals to date that COVID vaccination did not reduce—and actually extended—the period of mortality risk following infection in frail elderly populations, the very group these “vaccines” were claimed to protect.

Undercover child predator sting in Fairfax County leads to 10 arrests
Detectives posed as minors, luring suspects to a location before making the arrests.
The details:
Fairfax County police are calling the operation "Spring Bloom." It was a six-day undercover sting targeting child predators that led to 10 arrests.
Investigators say every one of these men traveled to the county believing they were meeting a child for sex.
The men range in age from 21 to 64. Some local, others coming in from out of the county, and even out of state.
According to Fairfax County police, detectives posed as minors online. They messaged these individuals and clearly stated that they were underage.
These men then initiated explicit conversations. Detectives continued to engage online and set up meet-ups in Fairfax County, and when they showed up, expecting to meet with a child, they were met by police and were arrested.
All 10 now face a combined 19 felony charges, including solicitation of a minor and attempted indecent liberties.

Fairfax County police say this was a coordinated operation with other law enforcement agencies.
"Detectives from our Child Exploitation Unit, in partnership with the Metropolitan Police Department and the FBI posed online as underage children on various online platforms to identify individuals who seek out underage children for criminal sexual acts," said Major James Curry, Commander, Criminal Investigations Division.
Most of the men are being held without bond, except for two.
Police say none of the suspects worked in jobs with direct access to children but some do have prior criminal backgrounds.
