#Marines with the Marine Corps Shooting Team, and Advanced Precision Marksmanship School, earned 1st place out of 34 teams at the 2026 @USArmy International Sniper Competition at Fort Benning, Georgia.
Staff Sgt. Tyler Johnson (PMOS 0311) and Sgt. Spencer Harrell (PMOS 0352) competed across 15 stages over the course of five days, including day and night stages, rifle and pistol engagements with both static and moving targets ranging from 10-900+ meters, reconnaissance scenarios and a timed ruck with full gear and equipment. Both Marines hold the legacy 0317 Scout Sniper Additional Military Occupational Specialty.
This victory marks the first time since 2009 that a Marine Corps team has taken the top spot.
