Someone help me out here. How is this number of 40k+ calculated?

 

If the heat map shows 100 or more in some districts, how could that number add to to so many?

 

I'm a bit confused. I looked thru a few of the PDF's here, and am not seeing how this number is derived.

How does this add up? Is it cumulative from past folders? Not sure I understand it.

Thanks anon, I was in the drive looking at the data. The file number appear to be unique.

 

There still remains a lot to understand about how this system works. Could many of those be updates? Evidence adds to running cases, etc.

 

Does PACER have the ability to do historic searches? For example go back 3 or 4 years and see what happened across several months, and that, in fact, the numbers are incredibly high in comparison?
