If ocean pollution is a problem, why are people allowed to build on hurricane prone beaches? It's OK for rich people's houses, furniture, and who knows what else, to be swept into the ocean. How about the next time a storm wipes out a barrier island (and causes your insurance to go up in the midwest) the government does not allow rebuilding, instead turns the island into a national park. You can visit, but you can't live there. Will save lives also. Look up hurricane Ian and Sanibel and Estero Islands.
