Just wanted to check and see how many people understand the filter is less about having the correct beliefs, and more about how you choose to pursue truth.

Because a lot of people here don't look so good, and my litmus test is telling me there isn't a lot of time left.

Sure did. Believe it or not, most of what gets taught in public school is actually on the money. It's just the utterly insane activism motivated insertions which poison the well.

Knew a fantastic woman who dropped anthropology because she figured getting published was more about writing pretty sentiments than actually presenting meaningful work.

Damn shame. The world could use more scientists with such values.

That sounds quite interesting.

I've long believed that the more solid any machine becomes, physical or conceptual, the more certain it becomes that it will be exposed to unexpected events of an exponentially increasing severity. Any successful machine, under such conditions, must therefore recognize the proper place for everything which exists beyond the limits of it's designs.
