On the night of April 17, a drone attack was declared in the russian Leningrad Oblast - local authorities reported the alleged downing of several drones and the consequences of falling debris.
This was reported by the governor of the region, Aleksandr Drozdenko. According to him, the air alert was declared at around 03:30 am Kyiv time due to the threat of UAVs.
Initially, the official announced three downed drones, later - one more. In the morning, he clarified that the total number of allegedly downed drones had increased to seven.
Flight restrictions were also temporarily imposed at Pulkovo Airport.
According to Drozdenko, in the Pulkovo Heights area, drone debris damaged a car and building windows, and another fall was recorded in the Vyborg district.
As we will recall, Bloomberg wrote that the Ust-Luga port recently resumed crude oil shipments after several days of downtime due to attacks by Ukrainian drones.

The military views the Litani River as the new indefinite security line in case Lebanon can't guarantee Hezbollah's disarmament.
Despite the newly mounted Israel-Hezbollah ceasefire, the IDF will continue to attack fighters of the Lebanese terror group who have remained in the southern part of the country should they not surrender, the IDF said on Friday.
The statement by the IDF was the first aggressive interpretation of the limits of the ceasefire put out by any senior Israeli official.
In addition, IDF sources for the first time gave the unambiguous official commitment that the military will remain in southern Lebanon indefinitely, and view the Litani River as the new security line with Hezbollah, unless the terror group agrees to disarm.

Culture and Sports Minister Miki Zohar announced on Friday that all of the war restrictions will be lifted on Saturday evening.

France and Britain are set to chair on Friday a meeting of around 40 countries aimed at signaling to the United States that some of its closest allies are ready to play a role in restoring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.
The Strait typically carries about 20% of the world's oil and liquefied natural gas flows, once conditions allow.

Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel declared Thursday that, while Cuba has no desire for military conflict with the United States, the nation stands ready to defend itself if necessary.
Díaz-Canel addressed hundreds of attendees at a rally marking the 65th anniversary of the Cuban Revolution's socialist declaration.
"The moment is extremely challenging and calls upon us once again, as on April 16, 1961, to be ready to confront serious threats, including military aggression. We do not want it, but it is our duty to prepare to avoid it and, if it becomes inevitable, to defeat it," Díaz-Canel said.
His remarks came amid heightened tensions between the two nations, with Cuba's domestic crises worsening under the strain of a U.S. energy blockade.
Earlier this week, President Trump suggested his administration could turn its attention to Cuba once the conflict in Iran concludes. "We may stop by Cuba after we finish with this," he said, labeling the island nation a "failing nation" and asserting that it's "been a terribly run country for a long time."
Trump has previously threatened to intervene in Cuba, similar to the action taken in early January when the U.S. military struck Venezuela and disrupted critical oil shipments from the South American nation. While both nations have acknowledged ongoing discussions aimed at easing hostilities, neither side has revealed any specifics.
The Cuban president highlighted the accomplishments made possible through the revolution and its social welfare framework, which provides free education and has produced thousands of skilled professionals — many of whom have since chosen to leave the country amid its deepening economic crisis.
Experts have issued warnings about a looming humanitarian crisis.

11th dead scientist linked to UFOs emerges in recent string of disappearances, deaths: 'NOT NORMAL'

The number of scientists with access to U.S. secrets who have been found dead or have gone missing is “too coincidental” to ignore, one congressman believes.
President Donald Trump declared Thursday that his administration will have an answer within the next few days about a string of mysterious deaths and disappearances of the experts with ties to advanced research.
“I hope it’s random, but we’re going to know in the next week-and-a-half,” Trump told reporters. “Pretty serious stuff, hopefully a coincidence, or whatever you want to call it.”
There appears to be no known evidence of a connection among the cases, but some lawmakers are calling for a closer examination of the disappearances and deaths.
‘Too coincidental’
Rep. Eric Burlison, of Missouri, said his office had already been eyeing some of the disappearances for about a year and he believes the mystery surrounding the scientists is “certainly” tied to the access some of them had to classified aerospace, defence and UFO information.
“This is a rallying call to pay attention to this issue and make sure that our nation’s top scientists are safe and secure,” Burlison said Friday on Fox & Friends.
He also suggested the possibility that bad actors from China, Russia or Iran could be involved.
“This is too coincidental, and so we have to be investigating this,” he continued. “We need to have our nation’s top investigators, the FBI and every agency looking into this matter.”
Burlison said some of the scientists have “literally just disappeared” without a trace, noting how Air Force Maj. Gen. William “Neil” McCasland vanished from his Albuquerque, N.M., home in February — after Burlison said he tried to contact him twice about his research into Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAPs).
The congressman also believes that “some form of threat” was delivered to the scientists before they vanished or died.
“They literally just disappeared. Left all of their devices at home. This is not normal,” Burlison said.
“These are some of the most advanced scientists, researchers in our nation, some of the most important people for national security efforts. And they all just mysteriously disappeared.”
McCasland, who retired in 2013 and vanished on Feb. 27, had worked in top positions in space research and acquisition.
Burlison sounding the alarms on Fox comes hours after another scientist’s mysterious death emerged, the Daily Mail reported.

Is 2022 death related?
Amy Eskridge, 34, was involved in extensive research into anti-gravity technology, UFOs and extraterrestrial life, according to the outlet.
She died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head at her Huntsville, Alabama, home in 2022.
Her death was ruled a suicide and no public information was released.
However, prior to her death, Eskridge had launched a research company, The Institute for Exotic Science, in order to create a “public-facing persona to disclose anti-gravity technology.”
Eskridge revealed in a 2020 interview that she had plans to disclose information about UFOs and extraterrestrials to the public — and was receiving threats.
“I need to disclose soon, man. I need to publish soon because it’s like escalating,” she said in a wide-ranging, revealing interview that would be one of her last.
“This has been going on for like four or five years, and over the past 12 months, it’s been escalating, like more aggressive, more invasive digging through my underwear drawer and sexual threats.”
She worked with retired British intelligence officer Franc Milburn to investigate the alleged harassment, according to the Mail.
Milburn discovered that Eskridge had endured multiple physical and psychological attacks.
He submitted his findings to Congress in 2023 and later concluded that Eskridge’s death was not a suicide.
