Adam and Eve could eat from any tree and experience true happiness except one, the tree of good and evil. Think of the fruit as an hallucinogenic fruit. They ate it and started a 6000 year trip in the world of good and evil. The world you now call life.
We are now in the end times, the great awakening period before the tribulation period and then the 1000 year reign of Jesus.
To God a day is 1000 years. He ruled for 6 days(6000 years) then rested on the seventh day(1000 years). The last 1000 years are the reign of Jesus we are approaching, then everything returns to God and the Garden of Eden to begin again. To choose again…good or good and evil.
