There are two general areas of law – criminal and civil. "Indictments" are part of the criminal process.

 

The other key distinction is federal law and state law. Both federal and state law is divided into criminal and civil.

 

What Q was alluding to is State criminal investigations and cases. There are state level criminal indictments.

 

PACER provides access to the Federal court system only (federal appellate, district, and bankruptcy courts).

 

For State court cases, check the National Center for State Courts. Not sure how much info is available.
