The site produces diesel fuel meeting Euro-5 standards, fuel oil, vacuum gasoil, and aviation fuel. Its storage infrastructure includes dozens of vertical steel tanks with a combined capacity exceeding 1.5 million cubic meters.
The Tuapse refinery and its associated marine terminal have been repeatedly targeted since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
According to prior reports cited by Ukrainian and independent monitoring sources, the facility has been struck at least nine times since 2022, including attacks in 2025 and earlier this year.
Russian authorities stated that 112 drones were intercepted overnight, without disclosing how many reached their targets. Ukrainian officials have not commented on the latest strike.
The strike follows a similar attack on April 16, when drones hit the refinery’s primary oil processing unit ELOU-AVT-12 and fuel storage tanks. According to previous reporting, that fire burned for more than 42 hours before being extinguished.

Iraq has reopened the Rabia border crossing with Syria after more than a decade to accelerate overland fuel oil exports and revive cross‑border trade amid disruption to Gulf shipping following the Iran war, Iraqi border officials said on Monday.
The crossing, located in Iraq’s northern Nineveh province, will allow fuel oil shipments to be trucked through Syria while also reopening the route to commercial traffic that has been halted since the conflict following Syria’s civil war, officials said.

Kuwait declares force majeure on oil shipments amid Hormuz blockade, Bloomberg News reports
Kuwait has declared force majeure on shipments of crude oil and refined products after a blockade of the Strait of Hormuz prevented some vessels from entering the Persian Gulf, hindering its ability to meet certain customer commitments, Bloomberg News reported on Monday, citing a document.
State-run Kuwait Petroleum Corp. notified customers on Friday that it was invoking a contract clause allowing it to withhold scheduled deliveries, the report said.
It added that the decision is not expected to result in a complete halt in supply.

Indonesian fishers found a torpedo-like object in the waters north of Gili Trawangan, Lombok, on April 6. The exact coordinates of the discovery and the object’s direction of travel are unknown.
Much else remains speculative: whether it was moving within Indonesia’s archipelagic sea lane (ALKI II) in the Lombok Strait or outside it, what activity it was conducting, and whether the object is attributable to a state.
Speculation persists that the object is an unmanned underwater drone linked to a Chinese company. The investigation continues.
Under international law, all ships enjoy the right of innocent passage through Indonesian territorial and archipelagic waters, and the right of archipelagic sea lanes passage (ASLP) through routes normally used for international navigation in Indonesian archipelagic waters and the adjacent territorial sea (whether designated or not).
But those rights belong only to a ship. This raises the threshold question: does the object found off Lombok qualify as a “ship” under international law, and is it therefore entitled to any navigation rights through Indonesian waters at all?
The United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) never defines “ship”, but the rules it prescribes reveal the drafters’ assumptions.
The innocent passage regime, for instance, requires a vessel to navigate on the surface, fly its flag, observe international collision regulations, comply with coastal state laws, and follow designated sea lanes and traffic separation schemes.
All of these presuppose a vessel that is visible, identifiable, and capable of following passage rules and communicating with external parties.
The object found off Lombok likely fails on every count. According to media reports, it bears some Chinese characters meaning “research and development” and the logo “CSIC”, which is associated with China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation, but no flag is visible.
There is no indication it can surface on command, identify itself, follow passage rules, or respond to Indonesian authorities. If the object is not a ship, Indonesia may intercept and confiscate it.
However, this would put Indonesia at odds with major powers that recognize unmanned underwater vehicles as ships.
Even if the object qualifies as a ship, what it was doing remains unknown. That matters because passage loses its innocent character if the vessel conducts “research” or “survey,” or anything else “not having a direct bearing on passage”.
The same prohibition applies to ASLP. A vessel transiting through the Lombok Strait, which falls under Indonesia’s ALKI II, may not conduct any research or survey without Indonesia’s prior authorization. Either way, the object’s equipment points squarely toward exactly that kind of activity.
It was reportedly fitted with underwater sensors, sonar, and oceanographic cables, and found to contain an acoustic Doppler current profiler. Police described it as bearing “characteristics commonly found in underwater observation or survey equipment”.

What Indonesia can do against a ship conducting “research” or “survey” in its waters depends on two questions: whether the ship was exercising innocent passage or ASLP, and whether it is sovereign immune.
That second question also turns on the nature and purpose of the ship’s activity. On the first question, it is unclear which passage regime applies. If the ship was exercising innocent passage, Indonesia may take whatever steps necessary to stop it, including physical removal.
ASLP is more restrictive as UNCLOS does not explicitly empower the coastal state to take enforcement action even where prohibited activities are underway.
On the second question, it is unclear whether the ship qualifies as sovereign immune. If it does, Indonesia cannot take enforcement action against it.
Sovereign immune vessels generally include warships and other government ships operated for non-commercial purposes.
An unmanned vessel likely cannot qualify as a warship because a plain reading of UNCLOS requires a commissioned officer in command and military personnel aboard.
But it may still qualify as a government vessel operated for non-commercial purposes, particularly if it was “chartered by states either for a given time or by the voyage” provided it was “exclusively used on governmental and non-commercial service”.
If Indonesia accepts that characterization, its options narrow to demanding the vessel leave its waters (or, given that it is unmanned, returning it to the flag state) and holding that flag state responsible for any loss or damage.
Whether the object falls into that category remains unclear and may be one of the matters the investigation will reveal.
The CSIC markings suggest a private vessel, but ownership by a state-owned enterprise complicates attribution, especially since data collected through “research” or “survey” is inherently dual-use, serving pure science, commercial use, and military planning simultaneously.
Difficult as that determination is in practice, it defines the ceiling of permissible action by Indonesia.
The incident off Lombok points to something larger. Indonesia is an archipelagic state with vast sovereign waters and multiple strategic chokepoints, and the object found by fishers may be far from unique.
While nuclear-powered submarines transiting through those chokepoints tend to dominate the security conversation, the real threat for Indonesia may be far less visible: small, undetectable drones quietly collecting data across Indonesian waters with no flag, no crew, and no one to call.

The Army wants an unmanned ground vehicle to evacuate wounded and resupply the front line

The Army wants to get a new ground drone that can both resupply forward-deployed infantry and help carry wounded soldiers off the front lines and to medical treatment.
The Army is seeking the new vehicle to help navigate what it calls the “last tactical mile,” the last part of terrain leading to the front lines, where any transport or personnel moving to resupply troops are under the greatest threat.
“This phase is often the most dangerous and logistically complex, requiring innovative solutions to ensure mission success and force protection,” the Army wrote.
Now, the Army is hoping that a modular UGV can fill that role in a way that reduces the risk to soldiers, according to a new solicitation on sam.gov posted on Thursday.
The new ask, from the Army’s Capability Program Executive for Mission Autonomy, calls for a dual-purpose vehicle that can safely bring needed supplies across that and be reconfigured by soldiers on the ground to transport at least two wounded soldiers.
Defense Scoop first spotted and reported on the solicitation.
“The modern battlefield is characterized by persistent enemy surveillance and rapid application of lethal effects at and behind the forward line of troops (FLOT), making any movement to and from the FLOT highly vulnerable,” the Army wrote in the solicitation.
“This environment challenges commanders’ ability to resupply units and evacuate casualties.”
According to the Army, this new drone would support a dismounted rifle platoon or a company headquarters “for extended operations.” It must also be big enough to move at least two wounded soldiers from the front lines to a casualty collection point.
It should also be able to navigate on- and off-road, with minimal emissions and other signals that can be picked up by enemy forces. On the supply side of its dual role, the Army wants it to be able to carry cargo but also power and data connections to infantry that increasingly is using electronic devices.
The Army has tested and utilized several uncrewed ground vehicles in recent years, alongside tests of aerial drones and loitering munitions.
Meanwhile the ongoing war in Ukraine, which has seen rapid advances in tactics for using and countering drones that have informed American planning around them, has also shown how those large-scale fights can devolve into static and bloody trench warfare.
Alongside its wider push to adopt drones on scale for combat operations, the Army is also looking at ways to use autonomous or remote controlled vehicles to help with logistics and sustainment, including modified helicopters that do away with cockpits.
The Army has also been looking at ways to get medical supplies to field medics quickly and safely, including testing out deliveries via aerial drones.
In an exercise last year, the 173rd Airborne Brigade was able to quickly transport blood supplies using drones, cutting down on time and the risk to medical personnel.
A surgeon told Task & Purpose at the time that the test was also a step towards using drones to evacuate wounded to field hospitals, the kind of task the Army is now hoping to achieve.

America’s ready for the government to release UFO info: Burchett

(NewsNation) — Congressman Tim Burchett of the UAP Caucus believes “America’s just ready” to hear what the U.S. government knows.
In a one-on-one interview with NewsNation’s Joe Khalil, Rep. Burchett, R-Tenn., discussed recent briefings he’s received on UFOs and unexplained aerial phenomena, aka UAPs, saying the public would be “alarmed at why the government won’t allow” certain information to be released.
Burchett believes President Donald Trump needs to get heavily involved in order for the appropriate information to come out: “It’s going to take the president of the United States to step up and say, ‘This has gone on long enough, we’ve got to get to the bottom of this.'”

Despite public interest in the subject, Burchett said some members of Congress “don’t want the truth” and noted a level of “arrogance” among his peers.

At a Turning Point USA event in Phoenix last week, Trump said documents related to UFOs and UAPs will be released “very soon.”
The announcement comes shortly after Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, R-Fla., said the Pentagon had missed an April 14 deadline to release 46 videos of unidentified aerial phenomena requested in a March 31 letter.
Burchett says he hopes the president will release the documents in a timely manner but added he’s been in meetings where “an unelected bureaucrat tells us that the president is on a need-to-know basis.”

Project Blue Beam: The 1990s Conspiracy Theory That Told Of Hologram Alien Invasions And A New World Order

here is a recurrent conspiracy theory that pokes up its tinfoil hat on the internet whenever some supposedly unidentified something is spotted in the sky.
This idea has multiple modern manifestations, but they all center on the belief that powerful institutions – such as NASA, the “global elite”, or international entities like the UN – are secretly planning to create a New World Order through advanced technology.
This new order, so the theory goes, will result in the large-scale manipulation or replacement of existing religions and the erosion of national sovereignty in favor of a single, powerful world government.
Does any of this sound familiar? If so, you may have witnessed a bit of the legacy of Project Blue Beam.
And while you may want to just dismiss it all as a load of bullshit, many elements of this conspiracy theory are actually shaping people’s interpretations of events and their subsequent political beliefs.
Project Blue Beam was the product of the Canadian conspiracy theorist, Serge Monast. Back in the early 1990s, Monast claimed he had seen secret documents that laid out plans for the creation of a New World Order.
This plan was meant to have started in 1983 when the Age of Aquarius was, so Monast believed, due to start.
Now this part probably needs a bit of explanation. For astrologers, the Age of Aquarius is/will be (there is disagreement among practitioners on whether it has happened or is yet to occur) a symbolic new era characterized by a shift in human consciousness towards technological innovation, humanitarianism, intellectualism, and collective cooperation.
However, for Monast and his followers, the opposite would happen.
He believed the Age of Aquarius would be a darker era where traditional religions, national identities, and existing social structures would be replaced by a new unified global belief system (the UN was already a forum for this, he believed).
This version of the new era was a deeply coercive and weaponized version of the otherwise hopeful astrological one being envisioned in New Age circles and proposed by spiritual proponents from the 19th century onwards.
Monast framed it as a cover story proposed by global elites in order to psychological manipulate the population.
When Monast first made his claims about Project Blue Beam, he explained that it had been delayed and that it would take place in the mid-1990s.
As he explained in his publication, Project Blue Beam: Revival of the Fake Alien Invasion Technology: “I have to say that the Blue Beam Project was set up for the year 1983. It has been delayed; we don't know exactly why.
But, since 1983 (eighteen years before the publication of this report), they have really improved themselves with new technology and innovations in space hardware and software in which they are involved right now to make their systems possible.”
“So, the goals of the new age movement under which the United Nations operates right now, are the implementation of a new world ‘messiah.'”
As you can tell, this did not happen, and Monast died from a heart attack two years after the report came out so he was not able to explain why his predictions didn’t come true.
Side note – those influenced by his beliefs often say he died under mysterious circumstances soon after its publication, but this simply isn’t the case.
But regardless of this backstory, how exactly was Project Blue Beam meant to deliver on this new world regime? An important clue is the above word – “messiah”.
Monast alleged that highly advanced technology would be used to fool the world into believing a religious and extraterrestrial event had occurred which would unit and therefore control humanity.
Project Blue Beam would play out across four key stages.
Step 1: the manipulation of archaeological evidence
“The first step in the NASA Blue Beam Project,” Monast wrote, “concerns the breakdown [re-evaluation] of all archaeological knowledge.
It deals with the set-up, with artificially created earthquakes at certain precise locations on the planet, of supposedly new discoveries which will finally explain to all people the "error" of all fundamental religious doctrines.”
In essence, he believed that faked earthquakes would be staged to allow them to plant false evidence that undermined all the supposedly accepted archaeological evidence that proves Christianity is true.

Another side note: Biblical scholars and religious apologists often make claims that certain archaeological finds verify biblical events, such as The Flood, or the Crucifixion and so on, but no credible, verifiable evidence has been identified for many such claims.
It should be noted that Monast didn’t just believe this would impact the truth of Christianity, but rather all world religions (but particularly Abrahamic religions).
“Psychological preparations for that first step have already been implemented with the film, '2001: A Space Odyssey;' the Star Trek series, and 'Independence Day'; all of which deal with invasions from space and the coming together of all nations to repel the invaders.
The last films, ‘Jurrassic [sic] Park,' deals with the theories of evolution, and claim God's words are lies.”
Monast was somewhat quiet as to how these earthquakes would be created, but he nevertheless held that new “arcane” information will be unearthed by scientists and used to discredit the established narratives.
Step 2: light shows in the sky
“The second step deals with the gigantic space show: 3D optical holograms and sounds, laser projection of multiple holographic images in different parts of the world, each receiving a different image according to predominating regional national religious faith.”
This is the stage that tends to get the most excitement online. UFOs, drones, or other miscellaneous aerial phenomena have become symbols of Monast’s stage two coming into effect.
For instance, over the last year or so, there have been multiple reports from New Jersey of lights being seen in the sky. These lights, often recorded on shaky phones, have been interpreted using Monast’s conspiratorial prism, but they are kind of lackluster compared to the grand deity-riddled sky displays he warned of.
Across the world, people share footage of lights in the sky, but they are never accompanied by voices, messages, or awe-inspiring displays.
If we are being generous to the conspiracy believers, these small-scale anomalous lights could be seen as the “tests” that Monast mentioned when discussing UFO sightings, but I don’t think we need to be generous.
Step 3: mind control
“The advancement of techniques propel us toward the third step in the Blue Beam Project that goes along with the telepathic and electronically augmented two-way communication where ELF [extremely low frequency], VLF [very low frequency] and LF [low frequency] waves will reach each person from within his or her own mind, convincing each of them that their own god is speaking to them from the very depths of their own soul.”
This lengthy word-chocked sentence introduces yet more technological marvels, though ones that are very much dated to the early 1990s. In this step, satellites will beam messages directly into the minds of every person living on Earth.
These messages will be articulated in that person’s own language, conveying more simulated manifestation of that person’s “god”.
Monast didn’t go into details about how this would be done. He merely stated that the CIA, FBI, and other US government agencies have “communications equipment” that could “make the blind see, the deaf hear and the lame walk”.
But rather than using it for this greater good, such technologies will/are being used to control minds, to “torture” or “murder” politically important targets.
It is not clear to what extent Monast’s biblical reference to curing the blind, deaf, or lame was deliberate hyperbole or something he specifically believed – that there are hidden technologies that can “relieve the terminally ill from pain without the use of drugs or surgery”.
But he nevertheless believed these technologies would be used to sow fear and doubt.
None of these technologies exist today and much of the brainwashing conspiracies he obliquely referred to from the 1960s and 1970s have, since the 1990s, become widely studied.
In particular, the documents related to the US’s (and other countries’) once-secret mind control programs are actually publicly available now. The historical research into this topic has shown that “scientific” efforts to coerce people, replace minds, or create model citizens always failed.

Step 4: the “invasion” – The Night of The Thousand Stars
“The fourth step concerns the universal supernatural manifestation with electronic means”.
The fourth and final step laid out by Monast is a multi-pronged effort to convince the world that aliens have invaded – his so called “Night of The Thousand Stars”.
The first operation involves making everyone believe that the invasion is imminent and will affect every major city across the planet. This, Monast claimed, would “provoke each major nation to use its nuclear weapons in order to strike back.”
But this is the trap – once a state has launched its weapons, the UN will force that country to disarm (overlooking that fact that only a handful of countries actually have nuclear weapons to use, and any use would be catastrophic).
The second operation involved making Christians believe that the Rapture is going to happen with the help of an “alien (off world) civilization” that will “rescue earthlings from a savage and merciless demon.”
This, Monast urged, was to ensure that there was no “significant opposition to the implementation of the New World Order”.
Another side note: the Rapture is not a universally agreed upon doctrine within Christianity. In fact, it is rejected by the majority of Christians across the world and tends to be the mainstay of US Christian groups, especially Pentecostal, evangelical, and dispensational groups.
The idea only emerged in the 1830s and was popularized in the 20th century. So, it is not clear why Monast thought this particular event would be effective for the world’s Christian population, nor what it would mean for the millions of people who follow other religions or none.
The third operation in this final step uses a mixture of “electronic and supernatural forces” to terrify the world’s population into obedience.
“The waves used at that time will allow 'supernatural forces' to travel through optical fibers, coaxial cables (TV) electrical and phone lines in order to penetrate to everyone at once through major appliances,” Monast wrote.
“Embedded chips will already be in place. The goal of this deals with global Satanic ghosts projected all around the world in order to push all populations to the edge of hysteria and madness, to drown them into a wave of suicide, murder and permanent psychological disorders.”
After this world-wide haunting takes place, the population would be pliable and ready for the New World Order to come in, as they desperately seek stability again.
Why has it stuck around so long?
Anyone who has made it to this point has likely noticed that some elements of Project Blue Beam are the same types of tropes raised by conspiracy theorists today, especially those on the far right.
Conspiracy theories, which invariably try to explain specific events as the result of malignant secretive forces, have existed within the public sphere for centuries, but over the last decade they have crept further into mainstream political discourse.
At the same time, researchers have explored what it is that makes conspiracy theories so compelling for some people, where they originate from, and how to address them.
One of the reasons why Project Blue Beam has been successful is that is deals with phenomena that are a) plausible and b) easily understandable.
Firstly, the rapid development of technologies – especially with the speed at which AI is developing now – could make someone worry that there could be some easily choreographed large-scale deception at some point.
Secondly, although Monast makes multiple references to the religions of the world, it is clear he was mostly concerned with Christians. His conspiracy theory taps into a pervasive apocalyptic concern for people who are already expecting some “end time” scenario to occur.
At the same time, this idea hits at the heart of the growing distrust of institutions, expertise, and authority. It therefore accommodates other conspiracy theories that are suspicious of scientific achievements - such as antivaccine groups - or the powers of specific organizations - like Flat Earthers.
But there is no evidence to verify pretty much anything Monast claimed. Decades later, our technology is much more advanced than it was in his day, and yet we still have no sign of this great end time, nor any of the terrifying technological abilities he prophesied. Nevertheless, its broad nature and widescale suspicions make it easily mutable, which is likely why we will see variations of it emerging in the years to come.

The Bible they tried to bury: Why Ethiopia’s sacred texts are speaking to this moment — by Kio Amachree

There is a Bible the Western world largely forgot to mention. It sits in the ancient monasteries of Ethiopia, written in Ge’ez, a liturgical language older than most nations.
It contains books that Rome rejected, that Protestant reformers never included, and that scholars are only now beginning to treat with the seriousness they deserve.
And in this particular moment in human history — when the language of apocalypse has migrated from the pulpit to the political podium — it may be the most relevant religious document on earth.
The Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church holds the oldest complete Christian Bible in existence. While the Western canon settled on 66 books (Protestant) or 73 (Catholic), the Ethiopian Bible contains 81.
The difference is not merely arithmetic. It is theological, historical, and — critically — prophetic.
What the Other Bibles Left Out
The most consequential of the “extra” texts is the Book of Enoch. Everywhere else in Christianity, Enoch was quietly shelved. In Ethiopia, it was canonized.
The book’s opening thunders: “Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of his holy ones, to execute judgment upon all.” The Apostle Jude quoted it directly in the New Testament.
The early church read it widely. Then Rome held its councils, drew its lines, and Enoch fell outside them.
That excision matters.
Enoch fills in the architecture of the end times — the defeat of fallen angels, the vindication of the righteous, the return of the Son of Man as what the text calls the “Elect One” — with a moral urgency and cosmic scale that the trimmed-down canon struggles to match.
Ethiopian Christianity never lost that urgency. It built its entire liturgical culture around it.
Why This Matters Right Now
We are living through a period in which end-times rhetoric is being weaponized daily — by politicians invoking divine mandate, by media ecosystems built on manufactured tribulation, by movements that have confused nationalism with eschatology.
The language of apocalypse is everywhere. The understanding of it is not.

The Ethiopian tradition offers a corrective. Its vision of Christ’s return is not a “rapture” — no secret escape hatch for the select few while the world burns.
It is public, collective, and just. Trumpets sound. Nations bow. The living and the dead are judged together. It is, above all, an accounting — not a reward for those who picked the right political tribe, but a reckoning for what was done and left undone.
In a world where the richest men on earth are building bunkers and the poorest are living in them, that distinction is not theological abstraction. It is a moral mirror.
The Oldest Witness Speaks
Ethiopia’s Christian tradition predates most of what the West considers Christianity. The Ethiopian eunuch baptized in Acts chapter 8 carried the faith home before Rome had converted.
The Ark of the Covenant, by Ethiopian tradition, rests in Axum. The Church of St. Mary of Zion has stood, in various forms, since the fourth century. This is not a peripheral Christianity. It is, in many respects, the original one.
Yet it has been treated as a curiosity — an exotic footnote to the “real” story of Western Christendom. That condescension is itself a kind of historical violence. And it is precisely the condescension that kept the Book of Enoch out of your grandmother’s Bible.
What Ethiopia preserved, the West discarded for reasons that were as much political as spiritual. The councils that shaped the canon were also shaping empires.
Books that emphasized judgment of the powerful, vindication of the oppressed, and cosmic accountability for earthly injustice were not always convenient to keep.
Preparation, Not Panic
Here is what the Ethiopian tradition does not do: it does not traffic in doomsday panic. Its eschatology — its theology of the last things — is oriented toward preparation and righteousness, not fear and spectacle.
Christ returns to Zion crowned and surrounded by angels, with nations bowing not in terror but in recognition. It is triumphant justice, not apocalyptic entertainment.
That is the frame the moment demands. Not the frenzied countdown of cable news prophecy culture. Not the political grifter invoking Armageddon to raise money.
But the ancient, steady insistence that history moves toward accountability — and that how we treat one another in the meantime is the whole of the examination.
Ethiopia knew this. They wrote it down. In 81 books, they kept the receipts.
The world is finally paying attention. Perhaps it should have started here.

The 'Immovable' UFO: Why Eric Burlison's Search for a Giant Craft Could Solve the Mystery of 11 Missing Nuclear Scientists

Missouri Congressman Eric Burlison has toured one classified US base and intends to visit at least three more, culminating in a trip to a foreign site he says hides an unidentified giant craft so large that authorities built a structure around it rather than move it.
Burlison, a Republican on the House Oversight Committee, believes the same push for access could help explain why 11 American scientists with clearances tied to nuclear, aerospace, and unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP) research have died or vanished since 2023.
President Donald Trump told a Turning Point USA rally in Phoenix on April 17 that the government has found 'many very interesting documents' on unidentified aerial phenomena and that the first releases will begin 'very, very soon'.
The executive order directing Secretary of War Pete Hegseth to identify and release UFO files was signed on February 19.
Researchers Say a Craft Is Hidden Near Seoul
Burlison has declined to name the country housing the object, citing classification rules he heard in closed briefings.
On the Aliens Last Night podcast, recorded on January 30, he said the foreign facility would be the 'final destination' of his site-visit request and confirmed officials cannot relocate the craft for inspection.
Online researchers and satellite sleuths have pointed to a mountaintop structure roughly 270 feet (82 metres) in diameter outside Seoul, officially listed as an aeronautical communications station.
The site is operated by the Korea Airports Corporation, whose current chief is a former deputy director of South Korea's National Intelligence Service.
Burlison Says the Scientists Died 'Too Coincidentally'
On April 17, Trump confirmed from the South Lawn that the cases are 'pretty serious stuff' and said he hoped the pattern was 'random'.
The same day, Burlison told 'Fox & Friends' his office had been tracking the deaths for more than a year.
The list of 11 includes retired Air Force Major General William 'Neil' McCasland, who commanded research at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and vanished from his Albuquerque home on February 27, leaving behind his phone, prescription glasses, and wearable devices.
Burlison said he had tried to reach McCasland twice about his UAP work before the disappearance. Also on the list is Monica Jacinto Reza, a director at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, who went missing during a hike on 22 June 2025.
Energy Secretary Chris Wright confirmed on Fox News Sunday that the Department of Energy has opened a formal probe coordinated across federal agencies, adding that investigators had 'not found anything alarming yet.'
White House Backing an Oversight Escalation
Burlison claims the Trump administration has told the Pentagon to 'make it happen' regarding his requested visits. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed a 'holistic review' led by the FBI is examining whether the 11 cases are connected, saying 'no stone will be unturned.'
House Oversight Chair James Comer on April 19 demanded briefings from the Department of Energy, the Pentagon, NASA, and the FBI, telling Fox News the pattern 'would suggest that something sinister may be happening'.
What Burlison Says Is at Stake
Burlison has argued the fate of the scientists is 'almost certainly' linked to their access to classified aerospace, defence, and UAP material, and may involve hostile actors from China, Russia, or Iran.
He told Fox he found it unusual that several researchers had left their phones and wallets behind, a detail he said runs counter to standard tradecraft for cleared personnel.
Whether Burlison reaches the Korean site, or proves a concrete link to the missing scientists, could decide how far Trump's promised disclosure actually goes.
