Have an acquaintance in the convention booking business. Was told several west coast cities (SF/SEA/POR) are feeling the heat from big names not wanting to book them anymore. Between the street shitting and douchey locals org members are saying "never again" to their leadership. So, my guess is the almighty $ has a lot to do with it as well.
